Oh! OMG, I learned the coolest thing in Advanced Algebra. We're working on probability, and we were given a formula for finding binomial probability. :3 So, being the clever math student I am, I grabbed my KH2 Strategy Guide. XD
So, with this formula, I can figure out problems such as:
"If the probability that a Shadow Heartless will drop a Dark Shard when it is defeated is 4%, what are the chances that out of 15, exactly 3 will yield an item?"
So, it would be (15)nCr(3) x (.04)^3 x (.96)^12.
*calculates*
The answer, my friends, is approximately 1.8%. 3nodding
