I'm curious about what other people have caught.
I've caught a male nidoran, machop, kangaskhan, and a sentret.

I'll go back and check to see exactly where each was caught but so far I've encountered: Paras, Zubat, Magby, Staryu, Nidorana (Male), Ponyta, Wobbuffet, Sunkern, Poliwag and Rattata.

I've gotten a bunch!-Ratata, Murkrow, Gastly, Sunkern, Hoothoot, Machop, Geodude, and Zubat. I use it a lot, like at school in class I'll catch pokemon or get items, depending on how many steps I've walked.

Yes, it's true, but you have to have collected over 100000 Watts before it shows up. Which is about 2 million steps...if you didn't spend any watts using the Poke Radar or the Dowsing options! So, essentially, it's the last one anyone is going to unlock. If anyone has it by now, I salute you!
In any case, I've mostly been on the Edge of the Night's Sky and the Yellow Forest routes, so I've caught a bunch of geodude, a few jigglypuff, and a bunch of Pikachus. A number of surfing and 3 Flyers. 2 of which I nabbed today. And I already have one. The items in the Yellow Forest route are nice, but it's mostly the standard berries. I've gotten two Light Balls, some big roots, and....well, I already made this list elsewhere. Point is, after I nab my Timid Surfing 'Chu, it's back to the Night's Sky with me!
