Overview: Teruo is a very strict and harsh person. There was a time when he was fun and carefree but that time is long gone. Now he holds his squad to a strict set of rules and regulations that all must fallow. Though the list is actually short he holds his squad to the rules in top priority. When he finds someone breaking these rules he is extremely harsh in his punishments to the point where he is famous is soul society for his punishments. At the same time if you look past all of this you see someone who is passionate about what he does; and who always looks after those around him no matter what.
Habits: randomly pulling out pocky and eating it, saying things that he shouldn’t, being overly harsh to others

Background: Teruo was born into a slightly higher middle-class family in the Rukongai. In his younger years he lived a rather normal life. He had a few friends that he played with and did everything with. Later on all of them decided they wanted to go to the academy to join the gotei 13 and all of them were accepted. Out of his friends Teruo was at the top in the academy. He was great at kido and not horrible with his zanpakuto. Later they all joined the same squad and were put together as a team; Teruo was the head of the team. This is when things started to twist and become not so normal. Teruo and his team who were also his best friends’ sense child hood were sent on a mission. In this mission they found an enemy stronger than they thought they would. Teruo being the young and cocky team leader decided they would not retreat and his team was behind him and ready to fight. However with the enemy being stronger the odds were not in their favor. The battle ended with all of his friends and team mates dead and Teruo too was almost dead and helpless for the whole thing. Somehow he survived but after his wounds were all healed he blamed himself for what happened. After he spent some time moping around, he decided that it was because he didn’t know healing kido that his friends died(later he admitted to himself it was his stupid and reackless choice that caused there deaths). Because of this he went back to the academy to take the training to become a member of squad 4. Because he was already good at kido he didn’t have too many issues learning how to do healing kido. Once he got into squad 4 he knew he couldn’t stop there. He pushed himself more and more working up the ranks of the squad until he became the 3rd seat. It was at about this time he got his Bankai as well. About 50 years later his captain died. He was one of the ones put up for the captain’s test to replace the old captain. Somehow it was Teruo that managed to pass that captains test and become the new captain of squad 4.

Friends: he has no one that he calls a friend, he has acquaintances but that’s it. After what happened to his old friends he is scared to make new ones.

What do they do too much of, why: work, if there is anyone who needs tending to then even when everyone else in his squad goes home for the night he will stay and work
Most prized possession, why: a picture of him with his friends before they died. Because it reminds him of his friends and how things were back then, and it’s all he has left of them.
People they secretly admire, why: anyone who has lots of friends and are carefree, he misses being like that but can’t seem to become like that again.
Person they are most influenced by, why Tetsuya, When he was alive even though Teruo was the leader Tetsuya was the one that gave Teruo the confidence and strength by always standing by him no matter what stupid thing Teruo did.
Zanpakuto name: Ika Zuchi no Chiyutsuku
Zanpakuto sealed Appearance: The handle is white with a dark purple wrap. The guard is in the shape of a thin cross with a ring around it.
Shikai Appearance:

Shikai Release Command: show them there can be no healing without pain, Ika Zuchi no Chiyutsuku
Shikai Abilities: When cut with the Shikai it does not leave an open wound instead it heals any wound it hits. Though it heals it creates great pain in the one it’s healing as it heals; the worse the wound the greater the pain is. And though it does not leave a wound it does create one as it cuts so it will never kill but it can cause enough pain in an enemy to make it so they can no longer fight. It can also heal an ally if it is already out and there is no time to waste.
Bankai Appearance:
On top of that there is also a skull that looks a lot like the one on the sword that covers his right shoulder, the face of the skill faces the front.
Bankai Release Command: There is no time to heal, for now we must kill Ika Zuchi Chiyutsuku
Bankai Abilities: there are three abilities to his Bankai
1. When in Shikai if the blade cut it would heal how ever in Bankai when it cuts it will worsen any wound it hits including the one it makes. It does this by corroding anything around the wound, the longer the blade touches the wound the worse the corroding can get.
2. He pulls a needle (it looks like the one going through the skull on the sword) from the mouth of the skull on his shoulder. He throws the needle on the ground so the tip goes into the ground. At this point a black circle appears beneath expends to about a 10 foot radius. Out of this circle hundreds of needles are shot straight up. They can hit and cut both the enemy and Teruo doing damage to both of them.
3. The final attack is a lot like the second one but with a few slight differences. This attack however is not up to him to use but up to his zanpakuto. When luck would have it that the Ika Zuchi no Chiyutsuku feels like helping Teruo out the needle that he pulls out will be gold and not black. When he drops this needle the same thing happens only this time a golden colored shield covers Teruo so that the needles cannot touch him. Though this attack is nice it is also rare that he uses it.
(For the 2nd and 3rd attacks a 10 sided die will be rolled 1-9 will mean it is a black needle and a 10 will mean he got the gold needle)
