I narrowed my eyes at Lustrepaw as he blabbed the wrong name-Night-but nobody seemed to notice. Feeling frustrated, I looked down at my paws. Brightspirit was supposed to be the one in charge but...]
"What more do we need to know?" I meowed sharply. "The Slayers are traveling through StormClan to get to the others. We're in more danger than any of the other Clans! And what about camp? Is everyone alright? Did she send you to alert us or bring us home?"
I sighed, realizing I had just kinda took control of the situation, and then continued in a less assertive tone, "We can't let those things use StormClan as a bridge. Isn't there any way we could lay some traps? Anything?"
[I glanced around at everyone, my eyes worried. I hadn't meant to be bossy, it was just that I felt so on edge, and I wanted to make sure StormClan was safe.]

"For the most part, the worst of it is just injuries. Whoever attacked us was either inexperienced, or he was purposely ravaging the medicine cat den; my bets are on the latter of the two. I think all of the herbs are ruined, and the prey from the fresh-kill pile is no longer edible,"
[he reported. His ears flickered slightly as he thought to himself. This attack was no doubt just the beginning. And of course, the enemy was pretty big; from what he had seen while Night was awake, at least. It had the power to kill off a whole Clan on a whim, if he felt like it. His eyes narrowed in concentration for a moment before he looked up once more.]
"From the looks of it, the only way we can defeat it is by beating it with wits. We'll have to set up some sort of trap, like deathberries stashed in fresh-kill [Plan to overthrow Sharptooth, lol], or something like that,"
[he murmured thoughtfully. His ears twitched slightly. He hadn't heard a peep from Night during this whole conversation. He blinked.
Thoughts, friend?
A sharp laugh came from Night somewhere in the back of my head.
Shut up, you scrawny, mousehearted, bee-brained kit! Don't speak to me.
The thoughts bounced around Cinderstreak's head, making him feel a little dizzy. He snorted softly. What had brought that on?]

"You have a good point," I agreed, blinking. "The brute didn't seem too bright. It might work if we set up traps or something. Do we have any deathberries left? I only know of the ones that grow on NightClan land, and I doubt they'd let us in their territory if they were attacked...but Lavenderstar's cool-headed, so maybe...hm...we'll have to tell Silverstar about it."
I glanced at the patrol, eyes narrowing as I thought, then said abruptly, "I'm going back to tell her. I suppose the rest of you can do what Brightspirit wants. Be careful, too...if another one comes through, it won't be best to confront them without a bunch of warriors..."
[I nodded to them sharply and turned, dashing away. I didn't care if Brightspirit hadn't sent me back (though Silverstar was likely to ask), I needed to tell her of this information!
And I was in a surprisingly defiant mood to boot...I felt a little guilty. I hoped I hadn't hurt Brightspirit's feelings-she was an old friend of Silverstar's, and mine.]
