Saa, this where we all put them up and duke 'em out (with words, not fists/viruses) and determine what the best season of Power Rangers was! You can even the discuss the best Kamen Rider or Tokusatsu show if you know anything about it. lol

Ready (Zoids Judge voice)?

....

DISCUSS!

Well...considering Power Rangers. And Not Super Sentai...course we can have that discussion to I suppose.

My Opinion MMRP and Power Rangers TimeForce were two of the best.

For third place I'd say......Power Rangers in Space.

I agree and disagree.
MMPR was the best Power Rangers of all time, but I liked Ninjetti and SPD too.

Time Force was....meh...
In Space was pretty good, but not better than Ninjetti.

We all may think the MMPR was the best, because it was the first of its kind to come to America... It is very nostalgic to us.

SPD was a good season. I wasn't particularly interested in the SWAT part of the series...

Time Force was nice. My absolute favorate...RPM. Put TF together with RPM, and I am a happy kid (er, adult).

I would lean toward Time Force, it has some of the most adult themes I remember with eric wanting to kill the mutants, ransik and nadira rediming themselves, jen wanting revenge and the death of a ranger... I know he was revived by a change in the timeline but still it happend in the first episode! and it was of the first time we saw a heartbreaking romance being torn apart by nothing less then time and space.

RPM would probably be next as it showed that power rangers could be more then the mentally challenged program that disney had turned it into with things like mistic force and jungle barf or fury or whatever. And it showed that the government and the army arent always something to support.

finally MMPR would be in this list because although it had cheesy lines, bad effects and a lot of problems, the series in itself was a lot better then anything at the time, and it change forever what was expected of kids shows by way of a lot of drama in the real world.

I got a few favorites.

My all time favorite is MMPR. For several reason. One of course it was the first and every other had to combat with it. Second would be more of a person reason. My grandmother died the same day it premiered. This was back when i was eight, and was the first time I had to deal with death. I found myself, locking myself in my own room and turning the TV on, I was crying hard at the time and started to hear the theme song before turning to look up. Ever since then Power Rangers has been a way for me to deal with death...err...more like forgot it for a while.

Second is Lightspeed. Catching theme, great story and demons...love demons..lol..

Time Force comes in third tied with Dino Thunder. love the story for both, but a few characters i didn't like so much. Didn't like Jen at all, she just rubbed me the wrong way, so did Eric. Both got better in the end. Didn't like much of the supporting cast in DT. manly the Cassidy and Devin. Hayley was cool. I believe Zeltrax should have been the main villain, but thats just me.

Are we comparing Saban to Disney? Because of those three, they would be Saban. But from Disney, I thought SPD and RPM were the best.

If I had to chose my top two, between the two companies...it would be Time Force and RPM.

I do like MMPR, but there was just too much changing of characters, and dubbing going on. I was a kid, I needed consistency! haha.

What do you think?

In terms of realism, I like/prefer Time Force and RPM.

For TF, it had a dark theme, death, revenge, and superior story telling. It also fleshed out the characters, which is always a plus in my book. RPM for similar reasons, although after episode 18 it become a cliche Power Ranger season again. You don't fire your producer halfway through production.

For just entertainment value, I liked Dino Thunder. The stereotypical characters grew on me and some decent acting to boot. Plus, it had dinosaurs, which I've always had a soft spot for.

Loved what Dino Thunder was based on, Abaranger, since it was an overall great series. Still need to finish it though. xd

~Edit.
I'll save a Sentai based post for later.
