Broken Glasswork Heart ----------------------------------------- Why am I rendered mute by your presence? Why does your face stop my words? Why am I reduced to writing silent pleas? When you will never read them anyway ------------------------------------------- Why do I still write for you? When your heart belongs to another Why do I delude myself? When I am obviously out matched ---------------------------------------- Why does my heart sing out? Why can you not hear my song? With a heart this heavy Can a man die of heart ache? ----------------------------------------- Why can I not look you in the eyes? Am I afraid you would spy my weakness? Afraid to but my fear in front of the curtain Center stage, spotlight on ----------------------------- How do you see me? Do you see me as the man I am? Or do you take me at face value? Please look beneath the skin to see the broken glasswork heart you gave me.

It's like I'm seeing a reflection of myself from the other day. O.o Nice job! I liked the smoothness of it and how you made me think more within the poem. ^^
