I think, therefore I am... goth. I simply find myself more content when diving into the darker depths of life. Though I would not attempt to describe what it means to be goth, as this would reduce the quality of it's philosophical product, I would say that I most closely relate to the "gothic" label.

^^ what he said... But really the reason i went goth was because i realised i wasn't normal, i didn't want to be normal, and i like the goth lifestyle. Clothes, music, books, ideas... thats why i like it.

i am goth because i never fit in with any one the music of metal just influnced me,and the clothes the style,and the way the are.....just influnced me to become one...

I'm not even sure if I'm goth or emo or whatever... but what makes me "goth" is the fact I wear black constantly, love the idea of death, love the darkness, and embrace my sadist thoughts of pain and destruction. Something like that...

Kurama-1313 Alexia wit my friendz evilbabe01 your attitude, state of mind etc. i am emo sumtimes but and i love the style but i hate how people say mall goth like a bad thing if u shop at hot topic Like i said above its a state of mind, atitude way of life just cause u happen to shop at ht doesnt make u any less goth i think that goths should be a lot more understanding of people and less judgemental since we no how judgement feels ninja pirate hot topic is ******** awesome!!! Hell, f***ing YEAH!!! But, seriously. Emos piss me off!! Seriously why do emos piss you off.Im not a complete emo but im part and i dont sit there saying goths piss me off. We are somewhat like goth just in a different way. And you cant say you hate all emos because not every emo is the same. I mean lets get this straight..Goths arent the only ones that shop at ht..like i said im not all emo..im part goth, grunge, etc. But seeing as though your dissing on emos i think thatswrong especially when you dont know all of them. Just my opinion. Sorry im very opinionated.

DaydreamersCosplay Very much agree with this. I know begining gothic is not bad it's an expression. People say gothism is satanism, no it is not they are goth's like that, but not all of us are. Gothism is no evil and demonic, we like black, we like looking pale with black liner and shadow sometimes lipstick and hair dye, but it is a state of mind, it is our individualality! Am I right on this, or am I wrong? I hate being judged, yes I am emo (emotional), yes I am a bit of punk and scene, but does that mean people should call me weird or satanic? I know judgement all to well and I haven't judged back unless it was very cruel......Sorry for ranting.... i completely agree with you on this. 13th Deathday Goths are people who find beauty in dark and unexpected places. ^agreed MarissaLuv47 the fun times i have walking through a graveyard at night, drinking human blood(seriously) and wearing my favorite color, black. twisted i saw someone else say something about walking in cemeteries, there is a name for those people there called taphophiles, and drinking blood isn't something that should be done to be cool, unless if your a Sanguine, then its ok Xx amy_rules xX wat makes me goth ? heh many thing i cut myself i wear black all the time all finger nails all black so yeah......... Self mutilation does not make you Goth, yes some Goths do commit self mutilation due to depression, or for other reasons but just doing it to be considered Goth dosn't make you Goth.
