Marcello looked around the unfamiliar area. It wasn't a bad place, but he'd just never been here before. The scent wasn't much different from the forest where he'd come from, but the area itself was much different. It was rather tropical. There were many types of flowers and other vegetation he'd never seen before. And the birds weren't the little brown ones he was used to. This place had birds of all sizes and colors. So many colors. Not far away, he could hear the crashing of water, but he was too interested in the birds to head in that direction.

Enya was a very solitary creature. She had never bothered to mingle with other foxes, even though she knew that there were plenty around. It wasn't that she didn't like them, or didn't trust them, or was mean; she had just never bothered too before. She was a lot like water; drifting around, never staying in one spot.
She hummed to herself, admiring flowers as she wondered how the weather would be today. A rustling sound startled her, and she gasped softly as she whirled around to confront whomever disturbed her.
All she saw was a bird, though. "Hm?" she wondered. "I'm surprised I jumped over just that," she said to herself, a little amused at how silly she was being.

The white male had managed to catch sight of a rather colorful bird; a large red bird with yellow, blue, and green wings. Marcello stared at the bird with awe. Never had he seen anything so colorful! He laid there, crouched in his hiding spot. Should he try to catch that bird and eat it? He was rather hungry...and the bird was rather large so it could fill his stomach for a while. But the bird was just so colorful and majestic...the way it sat perched on the branch...cracking nuts open with its large beak.
He frowned, still debating. Was it worth it?

Eny'a ear twitched as she thought she heard a noise. What was that? She glanced around, but all she could see was the bird. Hm. That was silly.
She decided to be a little more brave and investigate. If it was only the bird, than she would have nothing to worry about, right? Enya peered through the plants, seeing a few different colours, but the one that stuck out most what white. White? The sky wasn't white....so what was it?
She grabbed a stick with her mouth, and tried to poke in that direction...but the stick was short, and all she did was rustle the bush pretty loudly.

Marcello jumped up, letting out a small yelp, startling the colorful bird away. What...what was that?! He turned around looking towards the direction of the noise. ...Was that...a stick?! He edged closer sniffing. He smelled something familiar. He couldn't place what it was though.
Opening his mouth, he grabbed the end of the stick and tugged on it rather roughly, wanting to see what it was behind it.

Enya blinked as she felt the stick move suddenly. Not much, no, but suddenly it was heavy, almost uncomfortable to hold in her petite mouth. Stubbornness kept her from letting it go, though, and so she gave it quite a tug.
"Mmph!" was her grunt, as she couldn't form words around the stick in her mouth. Oh well, that would just have to do for now. Whatever it was, it would have to let go now! Right?
