I haven't read it, but I'm sure its good for a laugh. Most books about Metal are terribly inaccurate.
I've only read one that was slightly good, it was called Sound of the Beast, but it was pretty much just about the history of Metal so its hard to get that wrong. Though, the author did get a lot wrong.

What about Lords of Chaos? That book looks pretty cool, kind of. Though this book looks better, even though its not about Metal.

LoC seems like the kind of book that would worship (or at least, take serously) 2nd wave BM and its retarded antics, so I'd maybe see if I could find it through a library first. As for the other one, seems pretty compelling, especially the interviews.

Well Heavy metal and you is ok I guess, what i'm saying is that it wouldn't be a waste of time to to give it a shot and read it, and it's pretty interesting too although the only downside to it is that the main plot is about a love story between one metalfan and some preppy chick, but aside from that it's still not so bad to check it out

Only metal books I ever bought were a couple of those band encyclopedia type things. One was pretty good and the other sucked, don't remember what either is called atm though.
Headbanger's Journey is pretty interesting, but that's a documentary, not a book.

M:AHJ is good for a laugh and a half, I will grant.
@Digi: I think I own three or four books total. sweatdrop I rely on libraries very heavily.

I need more books, I'm almost done with the book I bought last saturday. I was hoping this one would last longer, but I was so starved for a good book that I've pretty much read the thing in four days. I took a day or so break from it even, and its almost over. Luckily, I had a feeling that would happen so I bought a second book. But still, I know I'll need another in a week or so.
I think I'm going to lay off Fiction books for a while. I'm going to focus on learning things now, I think the books wont go so fast that way...

If I'm really intrigued by a book, I'll usually wrap it up in a few days. There are few dozen books I really want to get through, but my current schedule leaves me with precious little free time (though apparently enough to make posts on Gaia and play BioShock - I should be ashamed of myself).
Last two books I read were Joseph Heller's Catch-22 and a compilation of Anton Chekhov's novellas.

I've had mine for about two years now and I use it a lot, and for fairly long periods of time. Not a problem so far, but I guess I'm just lucky.
And I'm still playing the original, hah. I'm waaay behind the release curve - mainly because I can't justify spending 60 bucks on a game, so I hold out for months waiting for the price to fall. I really, really want to play Mass Effect 2 RIGHT NOW, though.

I'd also jump on Hard Rain, but I don't have a PS3.
