Overview: Yuji is both calm and passionate. He is calm in that he hardly ever gets mad and thinks things through when he can. He tends to have a good grasp on emotions or at least it seems that way to others. In reality however he doesn’t have a grasp on his emotions he just hides them the best he can. He is also passionate about things such as art and dance. He also tends to call fighting a form of art, and for him it is. Though for most of the year he tends to be at least somewhat happy and normal however for one day of the year (November 7th) he gets extremely depressed.
Habits: daydreaming at random times, making paper airplanes out of any almost any piece of paper around him including important ones.

Background: Yuji was born in the Rukongai with two brothers one who was older, Akio, and one was younger, Haru. It was just the three of them on their own for as long as Yuji can remember. For a while they lived a normal life for three poor kids in the Rukongai. One day Yuji and Haru went out to play well the waited for Akio to get done with a small job. Well playing a hallow found them and attacked Haru. Of course Haru started to scream for Yuji to help and save him. Yuji however could do nothing, he was paralyzed with fear. Before Haru died Akio came back and attacked the hallow ending in both of their deaths. Before the hallow could get to Yuji two shinigami came and killed the Hollow. The first one looked at him with angry eyes and told him “maybe if you weren’t a scared worthless little runt all three of you would still be alive.” The other told him “Even if you attacked it to it would only have ended in your death along with theirs so live for them as well as for you from now on” Yuji took what both said to heart. Later when he was older he joined the academy to become a shinigami so that he could help save others from hallows and anything else that he needed to fight.

Zanpakuto name: Tsuru Ichijin
Zanpakuto sealed Appearance: The handle is white with a red cord wrap, The guard is a rectangle with what looks like a bird carved out of it on the top left corner and the bottom right corner, The blade is a normal length.
Shikai Appearance: The guard completely disappears and the blade becomes a little shorter making it more like a wakizashi. Other then this a large chain that can reach up to 3 netters connecting the sword to what at first looks like a large spike, however when the ‘spike’ opens up you see that it Is really a tessen(iron fan). on the tessen is a crane on ether side.
Shikai Release Command: “all we need to fly is the wind, so blow them away”
Shikai Abilities: The ability only happens when the tessen is open. if the tessen moves up and down if it's horizontal or left and right if it's vertical then a powerful gust of wind is sent out from it. Other then this his Shikai has no other abilities; however, over time he has learned to use his reaitsu to help him control the chain so that if he throws the tessen he doesn't lose control of it
