Ephia awoke as the sun licked at her face, tickling her eyes and prompting the green orbs to reveal themselves to a new day. The surroundings she was in startled her for a moment and she jerked into a sitting position the furs slidding from her frame. Sitting there she took in the quarters she was in and slowly the memories of the day before began flooding her mind.

Grabbing the furs she quickly covered her exposed body as her eyes caught sight of the man slumbering next to her. A rage engulfed her being as she looked at M'xan sleeping in pure bliss, a smug look upon his face.

How DARE he do what he did to her! Ravage her like he did in the middle of the bowl! Surely he could have had enough sense and willpower to at least get to a vacant weyr. NO! He did his pleasure in the Weyrbowl then decided to relocate to his weyr to continue the ongoings.

Her anger continued to boil and take over her being and before she knew it her hand was being raised and a resounding WACK filled the air around them as her hand collided with the slumbering mans cheek.

By force of habit, M'xan was an early riser. Around this time in the morning, he'd usually be going over Fall plans and wing rotations, then slipping out for a cup of klah. Sleeping past dawn was not a luxury he indulged in often. However, after yesterday's Flight, he was enjoying it in for once. Or, at least he was, until a ringing slap startled him awake.

Sitting up quickly, he glared at the woman next to him. "Shards and shells, woman!" he growled, annoyed. "What is the matter with you?!"

A quiet rumble in his mind let him know that Enelth was still slumbering, albiet lightly. The bronze shifted and exhaled in response to his rider's irritation.

Eyes blazing Ephia pushed aside the furs and grabbed her discarded attire. "Your my problem!" She began dressing. "I hope you enjoyed yourself since that will be the last time you ever get anything from me, I'll make sure of that." The Weyrwoman was fuming and a gentle stirring in her mind let her know Ariath was awakening as well.

"You had no self control that you couldn't wait to get to a vacant weyr?! It didn't even have to be one of our own, just any vacant weyr would have done but you ravage me in the bowl!" She slipped her pants on followed by her shirt as her eyes momentarily left the man to locate where her boots had been ditched.

"At least I," he snarled, "Can judge the condition of my dragon! Lounging in the Weyrbowl right before your queen rises is not exactly the best way to go about something like this!" Slipping off the bed, he located his own pants and ducked down to put them on. A sleepy rumble sounded from Enelth's area of the weyr, followed by an muzzy, Lovely way to start the morning, mine..

Don't I know it.. was the exasperated reply.

"Oh so I am not entitled to a day or relaxation?" Ephia huffed as she shoved a foot into one of her boots. "Ariath had only been hinting for a day or so that she would rise. It took a sevenday for her to rise last time." She growled, lacing up the shoe as Ariath craned her head into the Weyr to look upon her furious rider.

"You still could have shown some restraint and gotten us to a weyr! It would not have taken long."Standing to her full height which only brought her to M'xan's chin Ephia glared at the man, unafraid. "Don't you have any dignity? Or were you just willing to put a show on for the entire Weyr? I surely was not but you were so engulfed in your sharding emotions you couldn't even hear me speak about getting somewhere more private." Grabbing her other shoe she quickly put it on and laced it up, pulling it tight.

Tugging a shirt on, he turned and returned the glare. "A fine one, you are, to be talking about me getting caught up in my dragon's emotions! As I recall, you were stock-still and oblivious to everybody during that flight; even the ones who did try to get you to move!"

Enelth peeked into the room then, giving an amused rumble. Maybe you'll both be a little more sympathetic to greenriders now. This happens to them all the time.

"And you are not helping." he said sourly, in the direction of the bronze. Enelth merely gave another dragon-equivalent to a laugh and retreated.

Ephia glared daggers. "You know as well as I do that once Ariath took flight that I had to surrender myself to her emotions and mind or she could have gone between."

Mine, you shouldn't yell so.

Ephia turned her attention to the golden wedged-shaped head peering into the weyr. "Don't you start getting into this too."

We will be leaving then?

"Yes, we will be leaving." She said hotly.

"Oh, and male riders can't be afforded that luxury? Bronzes get just as lustful, and it's just as hard to even attempt to not get caught up." he growled, before running a hand through his hair in exasperation. "Why am I bothering? I have things I need to do right now."

Like oil me. Enelth commented cheerfully.

You be oiled after you've eaten and bathed, you silly beast. No sense mucking the entire thing up and having to do it over again.

"I am not saying they do but certainly you could have gotten us somewhere more private to...Nevermind. This is pointless really." Ephia growled out as she walked towards the ledge where Ariath was waiting for her.

"I am leaving. Should you need me you know how to get me." Her temper was boiling as she mounted the queen. She was about to say something more and decided against it just before Ariath took off and flew to her own ledge.

Huffing to himself, M'xan shot a venomous glare at the spot that the large queen had just vacated, before going around to Enelth's side of the weyr. The great bronze was curled up, head resting on his forearms and eyes whirling a blue-green of amusement, much to M'xan's cargrin.

They'll get over it. the bronze commented idly, head now angled towards the weyr door, And in the mean time...

A knock sounded as Enelth trailed off. Taking a deep breath, M'xan composed himself, before opening the door. In the doorway was a older teen, lean and lanky, sporting a Weyrling's knots. Behind him was a girl, message clenched tightly in her hands. A Runner, apparantely.

----

As the hall gave a final twist, T'nel stopped at a plain brown door. Pausing briefly, he gave a small smile and said, "This is the Weyrleader's weyr." Raising a hand, he knocked firmly on the door, then waited for a response. In the back of his mind, he felt Falmanth stirring awake.

As the door was pulled open, however, he straitened. Before him was a tall, rugged-looking man, sternly looking at them both. T'nel gave a small bow. So this was the man that had a great deal of the Weyr up in arms.

"Weyrleader M'xan, may I present the Runner Kallista? She has an important message for you."

----

M'xan looked them both over, then nodded. "Of course." Enelth, now interested, rose and, shifting, peered curiously through the doorway, his wedge-shaped head directly behind the Weyrleader's back.

T'nel, blue Falmanth's rider. the dragon said, eyes whirling as he observed them both.

Kallista bowed respectfully at M'xan and in the direction of his dragon. Her eyes flashed for a moment, taking in the man before her and the condition of the weyr. Though she had no right to judge especially with a mating flight the night before. She strode purposefully up to the weyrleader and then bowed again.

"Weyrleader M'xan. I have come bearing the message about your tithes from one of the holds. Please forgive the delay but you were caught up in other matters."

She held out the message, eyes lowered and waiting. Kallista already had a feel for this one.

M'xan accepted the message, then opened it and scanned it quickly. He refrained form sighing out loud, causing Enelth to inquire, What is it about, Love? M'xan just shook his head. Just the usual messages abut tithe items from the Lord Holder.

Realizing that he still needed to pay the Runner, he walked quickly over to his desk and withdrew a few Marks from a leather bag, glancing over the imprints in the money. Seemingly content with them, he strode back over. "Thank you for the message. The Lord Holder will recieve a reply within a day, by firelizard. I trust Harper Marks are satisfactory?" he asked, offering them to her.

----

T'nel watched the Weyrleader read the message to himself. He didn't say anything, of course, or even give an indication of his thoughts, but T'nel could tell that he was a tad annoyed. But then again, he probably had a great amount of work to do now.

As M'xan went to his desk, T'nel was left standing in front of the great bronze, who was looking at the two of them curiously. Rememebering his manners, he bowed to the dragon. "My congratulations, Bronze Enelth." Falmanth, who was now fully awake, made his own appearance in his mind. Big.. came the awed thought. T'nel supressed a giggle. That would be impolite.

Nodding and taking the marks, Kallista bowed and backed away. "Harper marks are most fine indeed. Thank you for your time, Weyrleader. Congradulations on your flight. If you ever need a Runner, please remember StationMaster Byrad."

And with that, Kallista bowed at the bronze dragon and left the room. Now onto Weaver Hall...
