Why would an Angel hurt someone their ward loved to hurt their ward? Isn't there a rule against that or something? Wondering if anyone might have any answers.

dunno. maybe if they thought that friend was a threat for some reason?

As far as I know angels don't feel Jealousy or Hatred so it wouldn't make sense for one to purposely hurt somebody. Their main job is protection without interfering and on rare occasions when asked and needed and under whatever other circumstances that allow them to to save or heal someone. Negative emotions like jealousy and hate are purely earth bound beings alone. I can't say one couldn't but theres no reason for them to feel those emotions that I can think of.
