Guide to Making Bell

This is my first attempt at making any type of giude, so please be nice. X3 But besides that... Like the title says, this is a guide to making Bell! We all need Bell to pay off our mortage, buy gifts, and things for ourselves, so I dediced to make this. I hope its helpful to anyone that comes across this!

Also, please, if you know an idea for making bell and don't see it one my list, please post it so I can add it to the list (you will be credited)! ^^

Rules

Just a few rules before we get started...

1. Follow all ToS rules.

2. Be nice to everyone in this thread.

NOTE: More rules will be added as time goes by.

How to Make Bell

Making Bell w/o Wi-Fi

If you're not able to get wi-fi, here's a few ways to make Bell in your own town...

Fishing
Simply fish to your hearts content! A usual bag full can bring in about 5,000 bell. I've fished for a whole day before, and was able to make 90,000 bell.

Note: You can check Silver's Price Guide to see how much each fish is worth, but keep in mind that he's still working on the page, so he doesn't have all the fish on his list.

Sea-shells
Pick up all the sea-shells along the beach when ever you see any. They don't bring in much, but it does add up!

Note: Peark Oysters bring in the most (1,200 bells each)!

Fruit
You can still get imported fruit even if you don't have wi-fi, and this stuff really adds up! What you do is simply mail a letter with a town fruit attached to it to anyone in your town. You have to make complete sentences (no gibberish), otherwise they won't mail you back a different fruit. You should also skim the beach every morning/now-and-then because a coconut can be washed ashore from a tropical island!

Notes:
-Plant the coconut along the beach to make it grow into a tree. I've tried planting one by my house, and it died. DX But I'm still not sure if you can plant them elsewhere.
-If you have 20 of trees of each fruit (excluding the town fruit) you can make 150,000 bells every time they bare fruit! @_@

Bell Rock
Everyday there will be one rock in town that will give a total of 8,500 bell. To make it easier when hitting and to get the 8.5k, you should dig two holes around the rock (diagonally from each other) to prevent you from moving back, and use them as markers to know which rocks you've already tried hitting (once you go into a house/building the holes will dissapear).

Trees
Everyday you can shake trees and have a chance of the tree dropping 100 Bell. Also, some times a bee hive will drop out, and bees will chase and sting you (you can try to catch a bee by quickly going into your inventory and equiping your net, then going out of the inventory and quickly pressing the A button). If you're able to catch one, you can either donate it to the museum, or sell it to Nook for 4,500 bell.

Also with trees, if you have a golden shovel (obtained by burrying a shovel and digging it up after 24 hours; you need two shovels to get the golden shovel) you can bury some bell and make a bell tree. You need a certain amount burried in order to make the tree, and I think the feng shui of your house also boosts your chances of having the tree grow bell. I'm not sure how much you need burried (i burried 4,000 and i'm still waiting to see what happens), but don't worry after the tree is fully grown, because it takes about a week for the tree to grow bell.

Time Travel
If you leave Bell in the bank and time travel 10 years into the future you will have more than you left. The more you leave in the bank, the more you will get after time traveling.

Making Bell Wi-Fi

Imported Fruit

Imported/Exported fruit will bring in 500 Bell each, better than the 100 Bell each for native fruit.

When ever you go to another town bring 10 letters w/o items, and fill your bag with your town fruit. Once you get to the other town, sell all the fruit in your bag (15) and you'll get an easy 7,500 bell (better than selling in your town for 1,500 bell). And if you put fruit in the letters, you can sell those for another easy 5,000 bell. After that, ask if you can pick fruit, and fill up again to sell those in your own town for the same amount! Or, you can plant the fruit to make trees that will bare fruit at imported prices!

It's not exactly HONEST, but by far the best way to make money is to put money in the bank and then move 10 years into the future. Your balance will be in the 100k's

i'll add that to my list, but i don't think it would be something i'd ever do. >_> time traveling isn't in my agenda for the game.

Actually, I found it on a site. I wasn't sure how to change the time, but I figured it out last night. I tried it and it didn't work, so I changed the time back to present day and everything was OVERGROWN WITH WEEDS. Don't do this unless you don't mind a week of de-weeding your town.

(without wifi)

-Digging
You can dig up gyroids and fossils, just like in the Gamecube version. Gyroids sell for 828 bells each, and fossils, after you get them checked, if you keep them, you can normally sell them for a nice price, most of them are over 3,000 bells.

Note: You need a shovel to dig stuff up.

Thanks for the guide! I didn't know the bank actually made interest in WW, that's awesome. I gotta try digging holes by the rocks I hit, too, I always forget that...

I know it's said before but I buried 19,000 in the ground I got a money tree and I recycled it bascially I buried 20,000 of the 90,000 it gave me so I get a steady source of income. If anyone get's a money tree it's a good idea to do something like that
