That was insane!
So, a few weeks back I started having issues with the R button on my DSi. The same thing happened to my (Handmedown, much loved) DS Lite, so I was NOT IMPRESSED. 200 bucks to have it rendered near useless by a single button? Bullcrap. Buuut after some poking, I found out that it could be covered under warranty. I still wasn't terribly hopeful at this point... I didn't have proof of purchase or any of that s**t they usually ask for. But my fears were brushed aside when I discovered all I needed to do was type in the serial number off the back and Nintendo could track the date of purchase. Win! So, now assured that I was under warranty, I could ship for (for free!) to Nintendo to be repaired (for free!). The estimated turn around time from the time nintendo recived it was about 12 days. I shipped it monday. It arrived at nintendo yesterday. Today, I sit with a BRAND NEW DSi IN MY HANDS. WHAT. Apparently they couldnt be bothered repairing it, so they sent me a new one. Not only that, but they courteously moved over all the voice recordings, photos and flipbook animations I had on the harddrive! And my new system comes with another one year warranty!Less than five days, no cost to me and my problem is 150% solved! I COULD NOT ASK A SINGLE THING MORE OMG LOVE.
