It had been a long day. A good one, full of learning and chores, but a long one. It was getting a bit later in the day and he was ready to crawl into his bunk, but Morgath was wanting a swim before heading it bed. The pair had eaten and did everything that was asked of them, making certain that nothing was left out. They had dropped by the weyrling barracks so that Va'en could get into something more appropriate for a swim. Once ready, the rider looked to the two flits just lazing about in his bunk. He shook his head and scooped up Tazo who fluttered as he was picked up. Once figuring out who had scooped him up and what his garb indicated, he scurried up his arm to climb up on top of Va'en's head, his preferred perch. Once the bronze was taken care of, his attention turned to the drowsy brown that lay nestled in the corner. "I'm not forgetting you either. I swear I can't recall the last time I saw you active for any length of time. You're coming too, Talut." Va'en draped the dark brown male around his neck before turning to look to his life partner who was sitting relatively patiently near the door. He could feel the big dragonet's eagerness to get to the water, which was helping to take the edge off of his drowsiness.

When Va'en turned, now decorated with towel and flits, Morgath rose to his feet and beat his wings. He could feel His' bit of fatigue, but the water would help! It would be relaxing and invigorating. 'Come along, Va'enMine, it can just be a short swim, then we can sleep. I promise.'

Va'en smiled and walked to the door, Morgath coming alongside as they began to head toward the springs. The dragonet's pep was contagious and soon the weyrling found himself walking with a bit of a kick in his step. The pair seemed content to enjoy each others company as they came upon their destination.

'Wanna race to the water, Mine?' Morgath asked looking to His with his usual swirling blues.

"Oh, you know it." He answered with a grin. "Hang on, boys. It's a short run but it can be rough." Va'en said looking to his flits which were still where he had put them. Tazo took the clue and took off, flitting about a little behind the weyrling and his dragon. Talut simply curled tighter around his neck and opted to hang on for dear life as Va'en and Morgath took off at a sprint towards the water.
