The military has different groups specializing in different things even different branches that are good at different things. What are your skills and style of play?
With me I like to go the Special Ops route. I use silenced weapons, improved stealth and shot detection. I sneak up on bunkers and other targets without being seen kill anyone if I need to then blow them up. On the other hand I like to snipe or sneak behind the enemy and take them out from the shadows. I will either go hunting for someone or will lay low watching an area so that I can thin out the targets coming through. I like to wage gorilla wars run in hit them and hide for a bit.
Favored weapons: AK47 with reflex site and silencer.
Dragunov with bipod and silencer.
Claymore mines

Now I'm going for demolition commando. With full athleticism and light armor, shotgun (until I get the medal, then SMG), RPG, first aid, poison gas. Gas out the bunkers and down their turrets to forward the assault towards the letter objectives, then sneak around the other sides of the map and sabotage their AA's, mortars, etc. to help the other platoons push forward. Spend the rest of the time darting around the map the destroy whatever gets repaired.

I started going hunting for vehicles I got pissed when they let our vehicles get captured and no one was doing s**t. They stood around the bunker and didn't do a damn thing they were just talking until the end. I figured I would play with the RPG awhile and lay out some antitank mines. I played for most of the night killing tanks and playing chicken on the roads. A guy tried to run me down but I nailed him with a rocket and then he hit my mine field.

Have you also noticed that the improved RPG is a complete waste of 600c and 5 skill points? It takes longer to lock on than it does to aim with the standard RPG. Given the lock-on is extra security for at longer range when the arc makes taking a shot a huge gamble, but there's no way it should cost 1000c. 600c tops.
That's my rant for the day. I've been going for the 250 RPG kills and 500 vehicles destroyed medals, anti-tank mines are more useful than I thought.
