Has anybody here read any of his stuff? Do you believe it to be worth the read if you have? Have you heard anything about him, good or bad? Share your knowledge of him if you have any.

I've been wanting to read his stuff, but the only thing that's stopping me is the size of his books. Not that the books are so big, but that in my general experience, the authors who publish the bigger books (in my eyes), seem to be a little fluffier than the last. For example, Raven Digitalis, Silver Ravenwolf (again, ONLY in MY eyes). No offense to anybody who has read their stuff and found it usefull, I just haven't. However, my good friend D told me that she and her husband (her husband walks a darker path, he's the one that I was getting advice from) both REALLY enjoyed his stuff. She told me that Penczak is much less BS than some other authors, and is very worthwhile to check out. Also, when Ren and I were at Half Price Books together, I considered getting one of his books, and was even told by two passing by pagans, that he was a worthwhile read. Any thoughts?

I don't own one of his books, but I have looked through their contents, and its pretty much a long elaboration on basic subjects and the way its presented doesn't leave behind much inspiration for the reader (at least for me).
Penczak (in my opinion) is for more if you really need the extra detailed 'word-for word' instruction, but there are more smaller books out there that do just as well and leave room for you to experiment with your own new ideas.
Heck, I'd suggest Buckland's Complete Book Of Witchcraft over Penczak's collection, because it costs less than one of his books alone and it functions as a workbook. Saves a lot of money that way.
It depends on what you're looking for in a book... is there something in one of Penczak's books that you're interested in looking into?

I wish I could help you bud. D: Have you reread any of your books lately to see who they recommend, or used research from, in the biblio?

Meh, he's not my favorite but he's a great deal more informative than a few writers buzzing around. I forgot whom the author was, but at our library there is a book on "White wicca" that is so trashy and insulting. We're talking...these practitioners probably have yet to lift a wand because in some way shape or form it will affect someone negatively and they'll go to hell for it (theres your first clue to a bad Wiccan book...).

Well, I don't remember off the top of my head. I remember in his acsension magick book (which I could get for 6, and Bucklands book for 7 at half price books) He had a couple things that seemed interesting. It was something along the lines of a Triple Flame Meditation, *** "Visiting with the Masters", Visiting the Realm of the Fey, Ray Evocation and Twelve-Ray Alignment, Merkaba meditation+Extended Merkaba Exercises, a Shadow Rebirth Ritual, and something about the Starry Ones. (P.S. From the point of *** on, I'd looked up the table of contents and found what had sparked my interest).

Nope, I've been so scrambled lately that I haven't really had a chance to. Though I probably should.

Yea, that's pretty bad. Well the thing is, the person who helped me start on my darker path, started by having me read "Out of the Shadows" by John J. Coughlin, suggested Konstantinos for lighter reading. Coughlin was an excellent read, and Konstantinos (though taken with a grain of salt) is also a very good light read. Both are very easily favorites. However, since my path is a little more shadowy and darker, it's harder for me to easily read something that's very cheery and not to sound like a stereotypical asshat, but lightsided. If anything I'm more balanced between the two with a favor to darker and nocturnal practices.
