So...in highschool you choose what art subjects you want to take like drama, visual arts, vocal, instrumental or strings band. You can only make one choice.
So..I got stuck between taking vocal or instrumental band, so in the end, I chose vocal.
Do you think that was a right decision I made???

Honestly, it's really up to your preferences. I know people who have chosen band over choir and choir over band, and I know people who have managed both at the same time. Personally, I'd choose band, but it's all up to what you enjoy more. :]

It really depends on what youre doing after high school. LIke I got accepted to a music magnet school for band, so i cant really change Dx so , choose what your heart does.

I agree, it's really up to you. I was in band all through highschool simply because band teaches you the 'mechanics' of music a lot better than high school choir does. Once you get to college choir they don't waste any time teaching you these things. They just expect you to know. So I found it a lot easier than a lot of my classmates to read music and catch on quickly. But it depends on the person, the teacher, and the school. razz

well having vocal experience is necessary if you want to go into a college music program so yeah you were right.
