Not my brother's baby lol, but one of my 2 best friends who is like sisters to me. Her name is Melodie biggrin Melodie Lucy Rose Dagostino and she was born March 7th at 2:07am. I will post pics soon she is so beautiful and I am dying to hold her but I am still sick possibly bronchitis so I am scared to pass on anything to her.
And somewhat related news, my brother's ex girlfriend is having a baby which was a bit of a scare. They only broke up a few months ago, this girl is crazy she was suppose to be on the pill but apparently forgot a lot so my brother was almost a daddy!
I'm just a bit freaked out at all these people having babies. I feel old and young at the same time. Like, I can't believe I'm old enough that all my friends are engaged, or married or having babies and at the same time it freaks me out cause I feel way too young to be engaged or have one of my own. I'm gona see my doc in a few weeks and talk about some secondary birth control options in case the pill fails (even though I take it at the exact same time everyday without fail! I am way to paranoid to take it even a few minutes later than usual) And yes condoms would be the smartest back up plan but well... neither of us enjoy ourselves very much with those...

you could get a diaphragm laced with spermicide (you have to put the spermicide on obviously) or one of those 5 year things that they put in your arm, then you dont have to remember to take the pill.

Try a spermicidal lube as a secondary. It's easy to find, easy to apply and doesn't take away from the expirence at all, some say it even adds to it. Some people can have allergies though so that is something to watch out for.

In your arm? I've never heard of that unless you're thinking of an IUD, but that goes into the opening of your cervix I believe, and it's hard to get them to give you one if you haven't had a child already, and plus it's also more painful then. Also my bff had one and my cousin still managed to impregnate her, even though it's supposed to be more effective than the pill.
I am on the pill and we alternate with condoms and withdrawal. So far that's been working for 5 years, I think you're good but then again everyone is different. It's always good to use condoms unless you're really serious though, because STDs can be worse than a pregnancy.

I am not worried about STDs. I only had one previous partner, we used condoms and I got tested just in case. I was my current boyfriend's first so no worries there either.
The spermicide I'm not to comfortable with. Yes I'm a tree hugging hippy but I'd rather not shove chemicals in such a sensitive area. I am looking into a cervical shield though which is like the diaphram but smaller and just blocks the opening of your cervix.
The pill is working fine, I never forget it. Plus I can control my periods with it which is a major plus! I'm just paranoid I will be that less than 1% that gets pregnant regardless. He use to put the condom on before he came but with it on neither of us ever seem able to finish so we kind of gave up on em.
