When I first get the music, I practice, practice, practice until I have every little thing perfected.
Once I become proficient at the audition music, I'll take all the practice time around other people I can get. It helps to first practice in front of your parents, then, if you're allowed to practice in the band hall during lunch/before school like we are, take those opportunities as well. It will make you more comfortable performing in front of people, and you might get some valuable feedback from your peers.
The day before, I'll run through the music ONCE, if that, so I don't kill my chops. I also like to color, light candles, play music, and take a long bubble bath the night before to relax

Confidence. Yes, practice the hell out of whatever's needed, but go in knowing that you're gonna nail the hell out of it. It really makes a difference, just have confidence in yourself.
And don't kill your chops the day before, or the day of. Especially if you're brass.
