((first roll = defense)) ((second roll = attack))
Zezner raised his own knee in counter to Samiri's attack. The move had obviously been an unexpected one as the Orc saw a small window of opportunity open for him to launch a counter-attack...
((free dare for me. biggrin ))

((dare timez)) ((boo-ya! Auto-counter!))
The window of opportunity was enough for Zezner to land a solid attack on his prize student. Though she was quick and agile, she didn't quite have the experience that the veteran of countless battles did. Having her knee momentarily locked with his own, Zezner spun around on his free foot, bringing the shaft of the spear he had taken from Asura into her ribs with a sickening crack.

((Armor = 10 Whew! that could've hurt!))
Samiri took the unexpected blow with a grunt, the lions' share of the force expended in her armor, which was why she was wearing it.
'Course it didn't hurt that she was having fun, too. It showed in the manic grin that split her face, and the gleam in her eye as she recovered from her instructors attack, and launched one of her own.

((Wilderness 4 + Rank 1 + Roll 18 = 23 successful! smile )) Once more! He thought as he returned his attention back to ability; if he could make it then he would be more of a help to the Gida, wouldn't he? He did admit that he wasn't very good in battle, but he could still help couldn't he? Well, for right now he needed to concentrate, hard enough to knock out any distractions. This time, he would succeed! He could feel the changes taking place. The fur rushing over his scales as he grew and became the swift and powerful Fienze!
(( Bonuses Agility = 8, Luck = 6 Athletics = 4, Guile = 3, Combat - Melee = 4 Wait: 2 Powers Assassin: Damage against an opponent who is unaware of the character’s presence is doubled. Flicker: The character is able to move up to 10 feet per Stunt rank in a single Flicker. This is not an act of teleportation; the character is simply moving extremely fast from point to point. Therefore, he cannot move where he would normally be unable to move (up walls, through barriers, vertically further than he could jump, etc.) However, he can seemingly “pass through” other targets, around obstacles, over impassible terrain, etc, moving in a straight line to his target destination quicker than any eye can follow him. This Stunt may be used as an evasive maneuver. Ghost-Step: Pass through solid non-magical barriers (walls, obstactles, etc.). (1 Mana; burn) The Second Sight: While this Stunt is active, the character is capable of seeing Auras, unmanifested ghosts, eidolons, gods, demons and other entities and phenomenon which exist solely in the supernatural realms. Shadow-Step: Become invisible to the naked eye by entering the spiritual realm. While here, the character is considered spirit and may interact with the denizens of this realm normally. Firenze may re-enter the material world at any time, ending this power's effect. (3 Mana; burn) Wind Runner: Allows the character to travel at incredible speeds so long as he continues moving. Stopping will end the Stunt’s effect. The character will not become tired when moving or even after he stops as he has used his reserves of Mana to fuel his movements. He is still required to eat, sleep, and meet all the other requirements of his body while under this Stunt's effects. The rank of the Stunt determins how quickly he may move over land: Rank 1: 35 mph Rank 2: 50 mph Rank 3: 80 mph Rank 4: 120 mph Rank 5: 170 mph Weaknesses Stamina = 1, Charisma = -3 ))

((1st roll is a defense against samiri, second roll is an attack against the transformed Firenze)) ((success on both counts))
Fighting these two had proven more difficult than he had anticipated. Of course Samiri was perhaps the best fighter in the class but this other student who had, on so many occasions, seemed like a weak, bumbling, awkward kid had suddenly transformed before his eyes into something primitive and awesome. Zezner responded the way he usually did in the face of such splendor - by kicking it in the ribs.

((Agility 8 + Defense 4 + Roll 8 = 20 successful!)) The Fienze was a lot quicker than his usual scaled body so he was unprepared for the intensity of his reaction to the attack. Luckily his speed worked for him, rather than against him and he was able to make it out of his teacher's way before he was able to land his attack.

((as it adds a bonus to melee combat, rather than unarmed, I'd say that the fore-hooves are unusually dexterous, and can be used as hands... subject, of course, to MJ's veto. In the interim, go for it!))
