Spirit: Short version: A jewel thief killed during a major heist.
Long version: The heist was planned weeks in advance. The team thought they had the best path of attack, the best escape route, and the best skills on the team to get everything done and done quickly. What they hadn't anticipated was that they had a very weak link: a heroin addict who had an extreme skill in locks and combinations, but who was prone to panic attacks and withdrawl symptoms under pressure. So when he accidentally triggered the motion sensor, the rest of the crew bolted the hell out of there with what they could grab, leaving our poor addict frozen in place, suffering from a panic attack. The police arrived promptly, and, in tackling the poor man to the ground, caused his heart to just stop. His team was glad for the decoy their recently deceased co-conspirator had become, for they made off in about $1.3 million in rubies and diamonds.. none of which they'd planned on letting our addict see, regardless of a more successful outcome.
