Nameless woke up with a start, his red eyes wide with fear as he looked at his surroundings. Where was he? Why was this place so scary? And what was touching his leg?! He let out a scream as he quickly got to his feet, only to realize that the thing touching his leg had been his other leg. With his heart beating quickly in his chest Nameless tried hard to calm down.
Slowly he took a few deep breaths, but not too deep or he might pass out. Well he needed to find his way back home. Only problem was, he wasn't sure which direction home was, or how far away it was. Brow furrowed in thought. If he didn't know the way, how would he get back to his mother? Nameless missed her terribly and Agony too. Well he would have to find his way home or die trying - that last thought made him shiver a bit as he took his first few hesitant steps of the day.

Ashia jingled as she trotted along, eyes doing their normal scanning. It was a nice start to the day. Fresh after a good sleep, and her pack full, she was prepared for anything! Smiling happily she shook herself out and hurried along again. Her ears perked at a scream, though faint. Eyes widening, the tiny mare perked up and hurried along. "Oh goodness already. After so long." It had been a long while since she had seen anyone in need. Well not that long, but perhaps this was a foal at last? It had been so long since she had seen a foal in need, which warmed her heart but also troubled her. She knew they were out there, and she was growing fearful that she was becoming less observant and unable to find them. That hurt her heart. "Oh I'm coming little one." she whispered, hurrying faster.
Her ears swiveled and she heard no more shouts, but there was no chill in her spine. There was no horrid silence, just normal silence. Perhaps it was not an alarm? Perhaps there was nothing to be anxious about? Her body twitched and she shook out her mane once more. "Hello, is someone in need?" She called out, her voice soft but strong and encouraging.

His body began to shake violently in fear as he heard another approach. It might be that scary black mare that attacked him the other day...or worse, it could be his father. A yelp came out of his mouth before he could stop himself as he heard a voice call out. He had to think fast, the creature was almost here. Frantically he looked around for a place to hide.
A nearby bush would prove to be as good of spot as any. He dashed over to it and began to wedge his tiny body underneath it. It was a lot harder than it should have been. Finally he believed that he was well hidden, though unknown to Nameless was that his tail and part of his one back leg were sticking out from the bush making his hiding spot quite obvious.

The little mare blinked, moving by to the area the call had come from. She had heard another yelp. But there was no injured horse. Or foal. No bad creatures... She sighed softly and looked around, eyes scanning bushes and rocks to look for any movement or out of placeness. A tuff of tail and she perked up. There it was. The bush seemed to be shaking a bit, then again there was a breeze. But the tail and, oh my a part of a leg, was enough evidence for her. She moved slowly to the bush so as not to startle the poor dear, in case it was hurt or just terrified.
"Hello there" She started softly. "I'm here to help. Don't be frightened. Are you alright?" Her voice was soothing, her entire mindset going into her save and help foals mode. She shrugged off some of her accessories in order to make herself not look so big and scary, as she found it often terrified some of the more frantic of the foals. "My name is Ashia. Whats yours?" She offered kindly.

He tried so hard to keep his shaking under control but the closer she got the more scared he became. He was gonna die, Nameless was sure of that. When she spoke he let out a yelp of surprise and did his best to curl himself into a tighter ball under the bush. If the thing couldn't reach him then he would be safe right. He hoped she would just go away, leave him be, but part of him also craved some love, attention and some warmth. "N-nobody here." He said in a shaky voice, hoping that might convince her that what she thought she saw under the bush was her imagination. Nameless chanced a glance over his shoulder, a while he couldn't see much past the leaves and branches he could tell that this was not the scary black mare he had run into previously. That was quite a bit of a relief, but he wasn't about to leave his hiding spot just yet.

Softly she giggled. It was a sweet laugh, full of kindness. "Little one, if nobody was there then who is speaking to me now?" She smiled, lowering her head to where he could see her, or so she hoped. "See sweetie, I'm not scary at all." She moved so she jingled. "Would you like to come see my feather? Or my blanket? They are vary colorful." Ashia continued to speak softly and sweetly, trying to calm him down where he would come out. She looked around carefully for a moment, trying to see if perhaps a parent was around. Or some dangerous thing that was the cause of this young one's terrible fears. Finding nothing she turned her attention back to the bush to wait and see if her attempts were working.

"Um...the bush?" He answered somewhat hesitantly as he hadn't expected her to point such a thing out. Clearly this horse wasn't fooled by the 'Nobody's here' thing so he would have to face his fears and come out, before she tried to drag him out. Glancing out between the branches he looked once more at the mare, she was small and had several interesting things on her. Well maybe she wasn't going to hurt him. "O-okay."
Getting into the bush had been relatively easy, getting out was a whole other kind of hard. The branches had manged to get twisted around his legs which made backing out quite a problem. A shake here, a pull there and the next time you know... "I think I'm stuck." He said for once no fear in his voice. His back end was free of the bush now, however his front half was still quite tangled in the branches and no matter how hard he pulled or how much he wiggled he just couldn't get free. Nameless knew he must look pretty silly with his hind end sticking out of the bush with his head and front legs still buried in the foliage, but hopefully this mare would help.

Ashia watched him wiggled and attempt to get out. It was rather funny and she giggled lightly. However his declaration startled her and worried her. But what was worse was how he said it. Such a terrified little foal, and yet being trapped and there was not a hint of fear in his voice... It was unusual and startling. She squared her shoulders and nodded. "Yes it seems you are." Ashia answered. "Now hold still and lets see how to get you out. Don't worry, I've gotten plenty of little foals out of being stuck."
Moving around the little mare looked at the bush from all angles. It was a mess of branches and leaves. A total mess. And his wiggling had not helped it. This was going to be a problem. A huge one at that. She shook her head. "Your in a tight spot, aren't you?" She said. "Lets see...Ah, yes! Instead of backing out, go forward, little one. Push forward and crawl through the bush." Going forward was always easier then going back. And she hoped this held true.

Wait, she wanted him to go back into the bush? Nameless wasn't sure if he wanted to believe her at first, after all he got stuck because he went into the bush in the first place. But she did say that she had helped foals get unstuck before, so that would be as good of reason as any to trust her at this point. Plus he would be in terrible danger if something bigger and scarier came along while he was stuck. With a slight shrug Nameless did as told and crawled back into the bush and then began to work his way out.
This was certainly was easier. He still needed to wiggle a bit to get free of a branch or two but the next thing you know, he was free! It felt so good to be free. And then he spotted the mare who tried to help him, and let out a yelp of surprise. Backing up quickly Nameless ended up tripping over the bush that had only moments before held him prisoner and went sprawling onto the ground. Oh god she was gonna eat him. Closing his eyes he hoped she would just go away now, leave him be.

Ashia's heart soared as he got out of the bush. He wasn't stuck, and that meant he was safe! Well, safer. She still didn't see any parents around and that worried her. It really wasn't a go- The mare jumped as he yelped, not expecting it. "Oh my, whats wrong? Have you hurt yourself? Is someone here?" She looked around quickly to try and see if anyone bad was about. "Oh dear! Now now, calm down." She had started to get a tad worked up, as the start had sent her heart racing and her mind into an over drive. But as she noted there was nothing else around, she calmed down back to her normal pace.
"Its ok little one, its ok. Its only Ashia is here." She smiled lightly. "Are you frightened still? I told you little one, I am not scary at all. You don't have to be frightened of me. I'm here to help." She nodded, her feather bobbing. "Would you like a treat, for being such a good little foal?" The mare watched him, hoping he was calming down.

Oh no she was stepping closer! Nameless tried his best to cover his face with his legs. And yet through all his fears that soothing voice told him there was nothing to be afraid of. "But he's going to eat me!" He blurted out between his legs, slowly peeking between them to look at the small mare. Well she wasn't that scary black one that he ran into not so long ago. Maybe she did actually want to help him. After a few deep breaths Nameless could feel his legs stop trembling and he actually felt safe enough to stand up. Getting to his hooves the small black colt gave himself a good shake to get rid of any last dirt or leaves that were stuck to him.
Now that he could fully see her his head tipped to the side as he looked at her red feather and other accessories. He had never seen stuff like that before. The only things he had seen on horses were broken ropes and well decay like his father had. The mere thought of his father sent a shiver down his spine. "You're not gonna hurt me?" He questioned a bit nervously, so used to being mistreated that Nameless found it hard to believe anyone other than his mother would be nice to him.

Ashia blinked at the colt's outburst. "He" Was going to eat him? She wondered who this he was. And why he would want to eat a foal. "That's right, little one, I'm here to help you. I'm here to help." She smiled softly, tilting her head to the side. "Now what's got you so frightened? Is someone trying to hurt you?" She asked softly. She wanted to coax it out of the little foal gently, and hoped she'd be able to. She knew sometimes they were so traumatized that they could not speak of the reasons for their fears. But really it was more helpful if she knew who or what she was up against here.
The little mare looked around quickly, making sure the two of them were still alone. While help was always appreciated, someone apparently wanted to eat this poor colt. And until she had a description of the offender, better they stay alone.

"F-f-f-father wants to kill me!" He told her without even thinking about it. There was something about the calm voice of this mare that made him say things he would never dare say to any others. Head dropped a bit, somewhat out of fear, somewhat out of sadness. "Y-you can't help if father finds me." The poor little mare would never stand a chance if Thanos tracked him down.
Nameless took a hesitant step towards Ashia, he missed his mother dearly and more than anything else he craved her loving touch. While this mare certainly wasn't his mother her softness was inviting like Regret was when they had a quiet moment together. Perhaps she could help him, even if it was but for a moment of affection.

"Your father?" Ashia couldn't believe it. A stallion's foals were his future, his name, his livelihood. Why would some stallion seek to destroy his own foal? "Oh you poor dear, I won't let your father hurt you." She smiled gently at him as he moved towards her. He seemed to be less scared of her as she spoke. Which was good. The calmer she could get him, the more safe he felt in her presence, the easier she could help him. "I won't let him hurt you."
Ashia thought a moment. She best know what the stallion looked like, if this poor colt could remember. So if she saw him he could not trick her into handing over the poor thing. "Little one, can you tell me what your father looks like? If I know what he looks like I can make sure he doesn't get you." She promised. And she would do just that. At the cost of her own pain and possibly death, she would make sure that.

Poor Nameless couldn't stand it any more and he closed the gap between him and the mare quickly and pressed his head into her body. She was warm like Regret had been and a bit softer as well. It had been so long since he had felt any form of loving touch and it nearly made his legs shake. Of course when she asked him what his father looked like he did indeed start to shake with fear. "He's scary!" He said half mumbling into her mane. "He's black, and his eyes glow and he has....things hanging out of him!"
Perhaps this mare would protect him, or at least try, but Nameless wasn't sure how well she could stand up to father if he so chose to track them down and attack - especially if he brought Rowan or any of the other Hell horses with him.
