The Loyal Heard stood from their resting positions; fluttering their wings to stretch them. "We're ready." Faisca and Night Star stretched their wings out and gave one large flap, lifting themselves into the air.

Yongnian was watching Nite Owl trying to relax. "Nervous?"

Nite Owl turned to glare at him. "Of course not."

"Then why are you shaking?"

Nite Owl stopped for a moment, "Okay I'm nervous. I've never been like this before. Never really loved someone like this before."

Yongnian reclined and for a moment watched the sleeping babes. Arachne was finally dozing off after having fought sleep for well over an hour. Yongnian's eyes went back to Nite Owl. "You're lucky to find it. You're afraid aren't you?"

"Yeah. I mean, she's got kids. What if something happens? If it doesn't work out, then those kids have to deal with that too. Is that fair?"

"No, it's not fair but if you start thinking like that then you'll screw this up before you get started good."

Nite Owl grimmaced, "Well, I better get going. I'm meeting her at that cave." He sighed, "I hate telling you that, but if there's an emergency you gotta know."

"Believe me, I'm not coming there unless I'm forced to." Yongnian shivered.

"Very funny." Nite Owl rolled his eyes and took to the sky on the way to the cave.

Nite Owl pulled himself up. Looking down, he kissed Gylden's sleepy face. "We've got to go. We'll be late for that meeting if not."

Rosa and Casaquilla huffed. They'd been waiting for over 15 minutes. Gylden hadn't come home last night and Rosa wasn't happy. "I'm getting frustrated." Rosa murmured.
Casaquilla frowned. "Finally we agree on something."

Gylden sighed. "Fine. We'd better hurry." She stood up and unfolded her wings; lifting herself into the air. She gave one great flap and launched herself in the direction of where she was supposed to meet Rosa.

Nite Owl took flight behind her.

Before long, he came to land where his group was waiting. Ember was standing there waiting. Arwen was a few feet away with the children. Aine had wandered to the edge of the forest. Yongnian was nowhere in sit. Gliding to a stop, Nite Owl landed.

Aine giggled, "Congrats."

Arwen smiled, her face slightly pained. "Congrats."

Yongnian nodded. "I"m right. The way things were headed has changed."

Ember smiled as he looked at Ariluna. "We want our own herd."

Nite Owl stood very still for a moment. He smiled at Gylden and walked to her and kissed her. "Looks like we'll be parents--together."

Nite Owl nodded to Ember. "I understand. It's what you have to do. You'll be missed. You may go with the condition that if we ever need you, you'll come."

Ember nodded. "You're my friends I'd never forsake you in a time of need."

Nite Owl stood in front of Liadin, Tannenbaum, Java, and Arachne. He felt a little embarrassed to talk to them about it. "Uhm...You all know that I like Gylden. We'll we're going to have some kids of our own."

Arachne rolled her eyes, "Oh please...."

Liadin's face looked pained. "Will you still love us?"

Nite Owl picked her up, "Of course. We're just starting our own family too. You're going to have some little brothers or sisters."

It had been awhile since Nite Owl had been alone. He'd been enduring congratulations from the moment he'd made the announcement to the herd. Arwen had already asked what colors they wanted for a baby shower. It had caught him off guard. There were so many things to do....He couldn't wait to see Gylden tonite.

Nite Owl stepped out of the shadows. "You're so beautiful and you grow more beautiful each day my love."

Nite Owl pulled her to him. "Creepy am I?"

Night Owl paced away. "Don't remind me. I know how boys are...still are." He rubbed his eyes with his hoof. "This is going to be so bad."

Gylden snorted and burst into a fit of giggles. "No we won't. I'd be happy if they end up with ponies like you."

Ariluna sat at the entrance of the cave. Gylden and her herd were coming to help them clean out the cave and set everything up today. Ariluna was looking forward to it; she missed everyone dearly.

Gylden, Rosa, Synstylae, Sushi, Night Star, Faisca, Casaquilla and Aquinas were all on the lawn of their home, ready to leave. "Aquinas. I know you're new, but, would you like to fly or swim with Sushi? I can take him; if need be. It's up to you."
Aquinas looked to Sushi; he looked very excited to be swimming. "I'll swim. We'll get there later than you, but it's fine. I know Sushi wants to swim."
Sushi grinned sheepishly.
"Very well. If you take longer than expected, someone will come look for you. Though, I'm sure you'll be fine."
Everyone unfolded their wings and lifted themselves off the ground; except for Aquinas; who made her way to the water's edge with Sushi. Rosa lifted Casaquilla onto her back and they all flew off into the distance.
Purim, Enigma, Nebulae, GaGa, Carillon and Zauberei waved. It would be too hard to take them all. They decided to stay back and prepare the house for the new arrivals.

Nite Owl arrived at the cave with Arachne, Liadin, Aine and Arwen. The girls with the exception of Arachne were excited about setting up the place.

Nite owl smiled at Ariluna and embraced Ember. "We've missed you at the herd. Life is alot more quite there."

Arwen was trying to keep Arachne in check. "If you don't behave I'll take you back, " she whispered.

Ariluna waved to Nite Owl, Liadin, Aine and Arwen from her seat on the ground.
It wasn't long after Nite Owl had arrived that Gylden and her herd; with the exception of Aquinas and Sushi arrived. Gylden landed with a soft thud; the others behind her. Casaquilla jumped off of Rosa's back and tackled her sister before turning to Ariluna.
"Hello, 'Luna."
Ariluna smiled. "It's been a while, Casa. I've missed you."
"I've missed you, too. But, it hasn't been all bad. I'm trying to get along with the others; like I promised."
Ariluna nodded and turned to Gylden. "Where's Sushi?"
"He's swimming over with Aquinas. She's new and a little different. Please, be patient with her."
Ariluna nodded, understanding. It was hard being the new addition to the herd. But, she was sure that Aquinas would enjoy her stay.
After all the formalities had been said, Gylden moved to Nite Owl and embraced him, a smile upon her lips. "Hello, dear."
Rosa fluttered her wings. "I vote that for today, Ariluna and Gylden do as little as possible."
Everyone nodded and Gylden and Ariluna sighed, shaking their heads.
"I want to give them a gift," Gylden said. "But after everything's cleaned and before we start decorating. Faisca's involved, too."
Ariluna eyed them suspiciously, but shook her head. She knew Gylden wouldn't give up the surprise.

Nite Owl shooed Arachne in.

Arachne grimmaced. "Casa, you going soft?"

Ember moved into the cave. "So we've got alot to get down today."

Aine rolled her eyes. "OH puh-lease. We know what we're doing. Shouldering past him, she dragged Arwen with her into the cave to clean.

Liadin smiled at Ariluna shyly. "Is she like me too?"

Casaquilla. "No, I made a deal with Ariluna. I'm just sticking to it."
Everyone except Gylden and the children moved into the cave, ready to help.
Ariluna smiled at Liadin. "I don't know what she's like."

Aquinas and Sushi had finally reached the river's edge. It was a bit of a walk to the cave and she was sure Shushi was tired. "I'll carry you the rest of the way, dear." Sushi nodded and Aquinas picked him up and lifted both of them into the air. It took them all of three minutes to reach the cave. Aquinas landed softly and placed Sushi on the ground.
Sushi scuttled over to Liadian. "Hello, Lia'." He grinned.

Aquinas stayed where she was. She wasn't expecting this many people; it made her nervous. She looked at Gylden; a look of nervousness and panic on her face.
"Everyone, could you come here for a moment?" Gylden called and everyone came outside.
"This is Aquinas Seraphi. She's new to my herd. I expect you treat her with the same respect you treat everyone else."

Arachne nodded. "I guess a promise is a promise."

Liadin blushed at Sushi. Waving at him, she ducked behind Gylden.

After Gylden introduced Aquina to everyone, Aine bounded over and hugged her. "OMG! You're hair is gorgeous!"

Arwen pulled her back. "That's Aine. She's a bit hyper. I'm Arwen."

Ember and Nite Owl nodded greetings and continued the introductions.

Aquinas shrunk back, a little taken back by all the attention she was receiving. She smiled at Aine who had made comments about her hair. "Tha.. Thank you."
She looked at Arwen and blushed a little. She was beautiful. "It's nice to meet you all."

Sushi smiled at Liadin. "You can't still be shy around me." He teased, grinning.

Rosa cleared her throat. "Ahem." She started. "We still have a job to do and time is of the essence considering Ariluna looks like she is about to pop."

Arwen smiled at Aquinas as she started to sweep the cave. "It really is lovely hair." She swept for another moment or two. "They really are a loud lot, but nice. Just takes some getting use to."

Ember started moving some stones around in the back while Nite Owl made some shelves.

Aine danced about, letting her faeries do her work for her.

Ember came out to check on Ariluna. He was afraid she would go into labor at any minute.

Aquinas was scrubbing the walls and floors; removing any and all dirt that she could. She looked up at Arwen and nodded. "I'm just.. nervous around new people."

Rosa danced about, vines moving up and around the roof of the cave. Flowers hung down from them; filling the room with a wonderous aroma.

Ariluna and Gylden sat under the shade of a tree; sipping lemonade that Rosa had prepared. "Not long now." Gylden noted; nodding towards Arilina's stomach.
Ariluna nodded. "Just a matter of waiting now," Ariluna replied, nodding towards Gylden's stomach.
They both laughed when Ember came out to check on them. "You'll know if she goes into labour, Ember." Gylden snorted.

Ember looked skeptical, "Are you sure? I mean...I guess you know. It's just scary and all. We shouldn't have waited this long."

Arwen smiled, "Believe me. I'm use to them and I'm still not really use to them."

Aine giggled at Rosa. "Such lovely flowers!"

Liadan came out a little. "But it's scary seeing someone again. What if they don't like you anymore?"

Ariluna patted Ember. "Calm down, love. You should go back inside and help so we get it done quicker."

Aquinas grinned. "I'm sure it'll be fine, soon."

Rosa smiled at Aine. "Thank you, thank you."
Sushi looked at Liadin; puzzled. "Why would I not like you anymore?" He giggled. "You're so silly."

Ember walked of kind of dazed.

Nite Owl laughed, "Oh god, Is this what I'm going to be like in a month?"

Arwen smiled at the masked pony. She was very pretty. Taking one of the flowers that Rosa had grown, she tucked it in behind Aquinas' ear. "There."

Aine giggled as she danced about. "The flowers make the faeries more powerful."

Liadin frowned. "I...some ponies just don't."

Gylden rolled her eyes at Nite Owl. "You're such a drama queen."
Ariluna giggled and continued to sip her lemonade.
Aquinas blushed a little. "Thank you."
Rosa watched as Aine danced and moved next to her; dancing with her. Flowers bloomed here and there, decorating the room. "I'll dance with you, then. So they'll be as powerful as ever."
Sushi frowned. "Those ponies aren't worth your time, then."

Nite Owl smiled as he kissed Gylden. Finishing up with the shelf he nodded. "I think that's about it." Turning he saw the amount of flowers in alarm. "Girls, they're not going to be able to move with that many flowers."

Aine stuck her tongue out as she danced about with Rosa. "But they're lovely!"

Liadin smiled, "Yeah, that's why Arwen saved me."

Arwen looked at Aquinas steadily. "Am I bothering you?"

Gylden and Ariluna both giggled at Rosa's flowers. "I think Ember might have a heart attack if he has to live with that many flowers." Ariluna said between giggles.
Rosa frowned a little. "Hmn. You're right." She twirled backwards for a little moment and the flowers were back to the way they were before. "There."
Ariluna smiled. "Very nice."
Sushi smiled at Liadin. "I'm glad she saved you."
Aquinas shook her head. "No, not at all."

Ember sniffled audibly. "I'm allergic to marigolds!" He then subsidded into a fit of sneezes.
Aine danced about waving goodbye to the faeries, than sat down still rather giggly.
Arwen looked at Aquina with rather quietly. "You're not from here are you? I mean...I came from so far away..." Arwen was afraid she had embarrassed her.

Liadin smiled at him. "How did you join them?"

Ariluna snorted and burst into a fit of laughter with Glden.
Rosa danced for a moment, ridding the room of the Marigolds and throwing a leaf at Ember. "Smell this; it'll stop the reaction."
Aquinas shook her head. "No, I'm form a big city. I was.. created there." Her eyes looked distant as her thoughts ran back to a time she didn't want to remember.
Sushi tilted his head. "I don't really remember. I just.. found them."

Ember sniffed the leaf tentavily. Then found his allergies gone. "Thanks," he murmered.

Getting over to Ariluna, he sat down resting his face on her belly.

Aine sat down exhaustedly.

Nite Owl came over to Gylden and touched her swollen belly. "I hope we have a girl with your long beautiful hair." He stroked her face gently.

Arwen nodded. "The past is sometimes...best forgotten."

Liadin nuzzled Sushi slowly. "I liked being found."

Arachne sat beside Nite Owl completely bored.

Ariluna patted Ember's head, giggling. "That tickles."

Rosa sat next to Aine, yawning softly. "A good job everyone."

Gylden smiled. "And a boy with your charm and good looks."

Aquinas nodded. "Yeah. That's true." She sat next to Gylden, enjoying the sunlight.

Sushi blushed lightly. "I'm glad I found you."

Casaquilla, Faisca and Night Star came bounding into the clearing.
"Is it our turn, Mama?" Faisca asked, excitedly.
Gylden stood and nodded. "It is." Faisca ran to her side and the entered the cave.
Everyone tilted their heads to the side, curious, but no one moved to see what was being done.

Gylden and Faisca stood at either ends of the room. Gylden pressed a hoof to the vines that circled the roof. Gold slowly crept up and soon, they were entirely covered. Faisca flittered up into the air; touching the flowers that hung from the vines carefully. Each one turned to diamond; but kept its shape. She turned rocks that were jutting out of the roof into diamonds. Gylden touched the walls, intricate golden designs moving into shape. Faisca moved to the wooden cribs that had been made. She touched each one; wood turning to diamond. Gylden and Faisca flittered wings slowly and carefully; moving to the center of the roof, they both touch the same spot. Diamond moved down; shapes forming and gold dripped down after; covering the shapes, but only certain areas. When they were done they landed on the floor and looked up. From the roof; a chandelier hung, made of diamond and gold.


Gylden and Faisca exited the cave, grinning. "Okay. You can look now."

Ember snuggled closer, then jumped back. "They kicked me!"

Arwen smiled. "But it's hard to think about that when there's so much sunshine out."

Liadin hid again. "You're cute."

Ember smiled. "Wow ladies...You've really outdone yourself now!"

Ariluna snorted and stood, looking in at the cave. Her breath escaped her in a great sigh. "It's.. Beautiful." She couldn't help the tears that started to fall down her cheeks. This was really happening. Everything was complete; all they had to wait on was their children.

Gylden embraced Ariluna. "I'm glad you like it." Faisca grinned.

Aquinas looked up at the sky. "I like the sunshine. It's.. warming like home."

Sushi blushed deeper. "Why?"

Ember came to join her. "It's wonderful." He kissed her gently. His heart swelled with the thought of his family, of the new life they were beginning together. "It's not long now."

Nite Owl beamed with the beauty his wife was able to create. He imagined that same beauty on faces that would soon be born. Small and perfect, gifted and beautiful like their mother.

Arwen patted Aquinas. "I remember the warmth from the mountains. It felt like I was living so close to the sun that I could touch it."

Liadan smiled, "You're the face I saw so often in my dreams."

Ariluna nodded. "I know. I can't wait."

Gylden turned to Nite Owl and smiled brightly.

Aquinas sighed. "Despite the fact that I'm part Mer, I don't like the water that much. It's so cold."

Sushi tilted his head. "You dream about me?"

Ember kissed her gently.

Nite Owl pulled Gylden to him. "Our children will have some amazing gifts."

Arwen smiled, "We should meet again."

Liadin blushed deeper, "Every night since I can remember. Long before I ever met you..."
