Blood of a Rockstar Captain

Whenever I lurk in discussions about Sonic on other forums, people seem to agree that lately, Sonic is best when, ironically, not entirely in the hands of Sega. The Sonic Advance/Rush series were handled by Dimps, and they were well-received. Bioware made Sonic Chronicles, and it's actually pretty decent.
And then we come to Sonic's treatment in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, a game headed mainly by Nintendo and its developers. It seems to me that people generally love the way he was handled in Brawl. Perhaps it's because of all the nostalgia attached to his appearance. Some people go so far as to say, "That's it. I demand Nintendo make a Sonic game NOW!" xd
That sentiment is what brings me to this question: What if Nintendo were to make a Sonic game?
What would it be like? How would they treat the story, and the rest of the characters? Would this be a good thing?

I believe there may be ups and downs. I am not sure if the good would outwiegh the bad and I'm not saying which stuff I find good or bad, but heres a bit of what I think... There would probably be a multiplayer battle mode It would be for the Wii of course There would be a lot less dialogue (notice lack of Nintendo dialogue) Little to no connection to the other games by Sega/Sonicteam Sonic would probably run into things more It would be formatted weird

I'm going to have to agree with Amy here.
