-- To all newly Promoted Chuunin!!! --

Congratulations to Everyone! ...I'm trying to get Cobra to go around to everyone personally and kind of close them out with something in the RP that legitimizes their promotion.

PLEASE PM ME with your character's location so I can have Cobra show up and give you the scroll.

There are two things I would like everyone to do...

1. Your profiles should all be exactly the same as they were when they were submitted in the Chuunin Exam Thread, however I would still like everyone to re-post them in the leveled-up thread. I will be going through all of the profiles and approving them one by one as I would the normal profile thread, but feel free to continue RPing normally with your new rank. A lot of people's profiles aren't fully in line with all of the current standards, so for some of you, this will mean some rather large changes, but I'll try to make it as painless as possible.

2. From now on, I would like everyone to make a special effort to document any techniques they have learned with links. It may be tedious, but its the only way to truly legitimize everything your character has. I'm only trying to help you guys out with this. If you clearly link everything you learn directly into your profile, you have an air-tight case if anyone ever questions how you got an ability or jutsu.

- To learn how to do this, take a look at Rule #3 on the first post of this thread. Please make special note to do this for all techniques learned in the future, and it would be HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to do so retroactively for all jutsu and skills learned previously as a Genin.

...if anyone has any questions, as always, please let me know!

-- Chuunin Exam Solutions --

For those of you who are insanely curious, here is how all the puzzles worked, and how I ran everything. (And no, it wasn't making it all up on the fly... I had an express purpose for each of the tests and was looking for specific actions.)

Cave of Trials: Entrance Tunnel

The idea here was to have the team enter the tunnel together in a coordinated effort and stick close. Only a fool rushes into a tunnel of darkness alone without knowing what lies ahead.

Once in the tunnel, I was looking for some kind of search on the walls, but when it was taking too long to get that, I just settled for all of you being in the tunnel together.

(Any attempt to travel outside of the tunnel, or use a bloodline ability was instantly neutralized to force your character to interact with the Cave in the same way that everyone else did.

Cave of Trials: Mirror Tile Room

Once in the room, you had to move around the room, searching the tiles in order to have a chance to roll an 18, 19, or 20... in which case you would notice the wobbly tile.

There were a few ways to find the Ice tile which transported you to the Ice Cavern with the Manticore:

- Search the ceiling and touch the tile itself, realizing that it was cold/unique.
- Dislodge the wobbly tile, then notice that the Ice Tile cast no reflection of the Green keyhole light.

Once the Ice Tile was located, a kunai had to touch the surface of the tile for all of the RPCs to be transported to the Ice Cavern.

Manticore Fight

- On every attack, the player rolled a d20.
- Any roll under a 10 resulted in a hit from the Manticore, unless your teammate rolled above a 15.
- Any roll over a 10, was a successful hit on the Manticore.
- A roll of 19-20, resulted in a critical hit, which counted as 2 hits.
- Depending on the methods of attack/quality of the posts, the manticore could take 3-5 hits before dying and turning into the key.

Taking the key brought you back to the Mirror tile Room, Placing the key in the key hole got you back to the tunnel.

Cave of Trials: Pedestal Room

- All of the Jounin were ordered not to attack, or even to move out of their spot until they were attacked twice.
- After being attacked twice, they could respond and attack back at the level you were attacking them, or otherwise simply deflect all incoming attacks.
- After attacking about 5-7 times, the Jounin activated their seals and went Super Sayan on your asses, forcing you to realize that you couldn't win by fighting, so there had to be another solution.

Easiest way to solve the puzzle:

A lot of people thought that simply asking for the scrolls instead of attacking was the right answer. they were only half right. The warning "The harder you fight, the harder I fight." was meant to convince the RPCs not to attack first.

...then using that info, they would research their surroundings.

The true solution was for the RPCs to research and experiment with the pedestals before attacking the Jounin. The Jounin would have simply stood still no matter what you did or tried with the pedestals so long as you didn't attack them (the Jounin) first.

The pedestals had to be activated by a jutsu of each member's primary element. (or in one case, bloodline element) Obviously, each pedestal then restrained the Jounin until once all three were activated, the Jounin could no longer move.

FUN FACTS:

- All of the Jounin were OC creations/NPCs that I used in my old RP Charity thread, which ran for over 1300 pages.
- Every one of those Jounin had an extensive back story, distinct personality, and unique set of specialized abilities/bloodline talents.
- Cobra was naturally the Kage of that village, and was and always will be my very first Role Playing character on Gaia. heart
- Cobra also has an amazingly detailed back story, and some rather unique abilities... AND was in fact the original concept behind the Konaga Clan.
- Cobra's back story is in fact so detailed, that I at one time chronicled his story in a 20 page essay and only considered myself 1/3 of the way finished.
- ( I have since lost said Chronicle crying )

It's fun seeing the solutions, while I tired my a** to fight Ton, he would just stand there. I should mention that this is the second best Chuunin Exams I ever took.

Well, like always, the second part is the fun part.

In another guild, the Second Part was AMAZING, but don't feel bad, your Chunin Exams were Amazing also, that guild unfortunately fell in inactivity.
