Elly had never been more thrilled to get up out of bed. Usually, she snuggled in her warm comforter 'til either her mom or one of her animal buddies nagged her to get up and clean or provide food or whatever. But this morning, she was so excited by the prospect of visiting her friend that she threw off said warm, inviting comforter, ran across the cold floor, dressed, ate breakfast, and otherwise got ready for the day in absolute record time.
Escorted to the address by her loving older brother, part hawk that he is, Elly was never regretted more the lack of her own wings, to get her there faster. Although, riding atop a sloppy, drooly moose is probably just as good, especially in the company of her platypus and raccoon. His hooves on the pavement make her grin, even more than the bewildered looks from passerbys. No one really understood the hold that Elly has on animals; something to do with really being able to speak to them on an understanding level. You don't eat me, I don't eat you. A hungry tiger wouldn't eat the girl.
Finally, Garrett shouts down that he can see it. And for once, she can see something as soon as he does; this place is HUGE.
Garrett departs, but is not out of a watchful distance in case something goes wrong. Elly pats her moose friend affectionately on the neck before running up the walk to the door of where Umbra lives. She finds the bell, pushes it twice, and waits with a huge smile on her face, her thin tail swishing behind her.

Umbra runs up to the door, pulling it open and squealing with joy to see her friend, eventually deciding to hug the girl after a moment of deliberation. "You came!" With that, she pulls Elegy into the large mansion, closing the door behind her.
"Hey, Umbra," a petite black-haired girl with two cats and a bunny perching on her asks, "who's your friend?" "This is Elly," the gray-skinned catgirl smiles. "Ohhh, so you finally made friends?" a mocking voice adds. It came from a teenage red-haired girl lounging on a couch. "Ava, don't, that's mean!" a younger girl with white and black eyes frets in response.
Umbra ignores the taunt and reaches into a bowl in the wall, pulling out a floor map of the house. "Elly, where do you want to go first? After you decide, I can page Mizore so that the house won't let you get hurt." Then Umbra's Macolnat, Silver Shadow, shows up dragging Neon Rave, the Ato. "Oh, you did it already?" Silver Shadow nods, and Umbra simply decides to grab the two animals and place them on her shoulders.
Umbra's hair seemed to be really, really, short today (about as long as Elly's, but straighter)-she'd been through the Transformation room, it seemed.

This is all too much to take in for Elly. With the sensory overload, she can do nothing more than grin sheepishly as everything whirs around her. When the map is thrust at her, she takes it and examines it. Her brother has taught her a great deal about cartography; however, the girl's method of choosing is much more of a crude process of Close-your-eyes-and-pick.
She pokes the map in the upper right corner. "How about .. thisss?" she pipes up, her tail curling and coming to rest in the crook of her elbow. It is quickly replaced by the head of a raccoon. It seems he had clutched across her back the entire time, absolutely terrified, and is now looking for a more comfortable method of perch. He looks no less frightened, however, in doing so, especially with so many people around.
"This place is huuuuge!" Elly gasps, swinging around on the spot and raising her arms with the map between them, consequently making her 'coon's venture all the more perilous.

Umbra smiles. "Yay, the Transformation room! I love that room!"
At this point, she decided to pet the raccoon's ears, as she has a particular like for animals. <How are you doing? Would you like to stick down here? I promise all the animals are nice, the the humans will leave you alone if I tell them to,> she asks the black-masked mammal, ears twitching.
"Well, come on, Elly!" the black-haired girl giggles, pushing a button on the wall and not appearing phased in the least by the weight of the two animals making a successful attempt to cling onto her shoulders. As the elevator arrives, the last statement of her friend finally arrives in her mind. "Yeah, Mizore's some sort of heiress or something, don't really know." Mira arrives next to the two at this point, animals on her shoulders in a close similarity to Umbra's, except for the fact that the human girl is eye-level with her almost-sister's shoulders. "Hey, care if I take the elevator too? I need a lift to the top floor, and Ava's getting unruly. I don't know how long Sera can keep her down, we might have to get Miz in here." Shadow leaps over to the blond girl's shoulder and pokes the map, causing a final section to appear. "Oh, you wanna go there, Shadow?" The Macolnat squeaks in approval, nodding her head. "Oh, in that case, we're going there second." The silver-scaled creature looks vaguely unhappy, but seems content to sit on Elly's shoulder for now. Her partner, Neon Rave, pouts and moves to the top of Umbra's head, gripping onto the long hair with her feet. <Oh, not again, Rave. Don't ruin my hair!> she clicks at the dragon-like creature, but it responds with loud, angry clicks. <Yeah, well, not my problem, go nest on Miz's hair!> is the catgirl's response. Rave clicks back a long and complicated response, and her owner just looks shocked, gasps, and rolls her eyes, entering into the elevator.
