well to me nature is life, and we have over steped the relying on things that arent life suporting. the technology doesnt work with nature..

id like to be a part it for a while

would anyone in this guild try liveing in the woods. im half tempted to myself. wondering how much everone likes nature.

My college has Adventure Education and Adventure Therapy, so most of my friends are very good survivalists. We went survival camping, which was cool. I wouldn't mind living off the grid, I did while I was in Wales recently and the system is not hard.

I also live in the backwoods of my college town in Maine... in a cabin. So, I would love to live int the woods.

It's not a black and white line where we can take but never return to nature. Unlike other animals, we must simply make an effort to do so.

Nature isn't the enemy, and it's not some xenophilic love interest.

It's just there. And there's no reason why we can't make ourselves comfortable in it's presence.

Tomogatchi contests? (Edit: I thought that was actually the name of the practice, but it turns out it's spelled tamagatchi, which makes more sense, because that's just a portmanteau of the japanese words for egg and watch. I was misinformed by a Time Magazine article, when I was a child, that the Digital pets were named after the practice of rising ornamental roosters for exhibition... LIES) Okay, chickens aren't all that important. But they're convenient to have when you bake as a hobby/enjoy quiche.

It's spelled tamagotchi razz I have like 10-15 of those buggers, even a japanese uratama! biggrin
But yeah, I'ma vegan, and think the milk and eggs thing would be fairly useless, especially if you have a cottage with a lot of windows(green house?)
It'd be awesome but I know most of my friends would DIE without a high speed internet connection. I'd be content with a solar charger for my cellphone and a cellphone signal. :3 (it may be slow internet but so many mobile sites! And I could game on a nintendo DS... solar charger?)
Not to mention solar cookers are REALLY easy to make, in fact my boyfriend made one for a class out of a box, a piece of shiny metal(kidnapped from my manufacturing class, lol)and dark paper! And it gets purty hot!(his teacher kidnapped it from him cuz it was a project for a class lol) but yeah, A water pump would be fairly easy, my only concern is warm water. D: I needs hot baths!(obviously hot showers wouldn't be an option, lol)
