There were things to be done. It was first thing in the morning and Va'en rolled out of his bunk, bunk number five. He had plans. He rubbed his eyes and looked around for the particular weyrling that he had in mind. His bronze stretched and came down from his bed, shaking himself. While maintaining his normal swirling blue eye color, Va'en could feel Morgath's displeasure at His' plans for the day. 'Va'enMine, must we...?' He asked with a tone that somewhere between a mild whine and hopeful suggestion.

Va'en smoothed his clothes down and combed his fingers through his hair. "Yes, we must..." He began before pausing. While he was pretty good at responding via their mental link, he still sometime caught himself speaking aloud. "Whether you like it or not, I fully intend on you building a better rapport with your clutchbrothers or at the very least getting used to them beyond posturing and leering. We will all be working together when you and your siblings grow and mature. I, for one, would like to see your attention more evenly divided amongst your siblings, not just your preferred sisters." Now, it was early yet, so he figured if T'rus and Akerth weren't still in their bunk they'd be heading off to get the day's tasks started. Most likely food first. After all, the young dragons needed to eat at least a couple times a day, and judging from the big empty growl that came from his stomach, he could tell that Morgath was at least little peckish himself.

First, the bronzerider meandered over towards T'rus and Akerth's bunk to check if they were there, Morgath on his heels. "At least call out to your brother. Let him know of my plans so he can let His know. Please."

Morgath took a deep breath and puffed it out as he did as asked. 'Akerth, Mine wants to us work with you and Yours today, to build a rapport. Let yours know. What does he think?'

"Be civil, Morgath," Va'en warned. His face was set in determination.

'If you would be so kind, please.'

T'rus and Akerth were indeed awake. They weren't the sorts to sleep in, Akerth even more so than T'rus, and T'rus was no slacker. When Morgath announced their impending presence, Akerth was sitting patiently while his rider rubbed oil into his hide. They thought it best to get it done first, so that itches wouldn't distract the Brown from the business of the day. They were, however, hungry. Or Akerth was hungry and that hunger was bleeding through their link. It left T'rus irritable and ever so slightly on edge. It meant he was smiling, that carefully crafted, seemingly lazy smile. No one was watching, yet, but best to remind himself how he was to act. It would be harder now, with Akerth.

Morgath comes with his rider. They wish to train with us, today. It would be good for me to observe Morgath's training. I will not distract him as the greens might. The Brown turned as he spoke, allowing T'rus a better angle. But the weyrling had stopped oiling.

"Hmph." The vocalization was brief and far from thrilled. But he caught himself before ranting openly. There were some things that were never to be said outside his shared link with Akerth. A lot of things that only the two of them were ever to know. That worthless wher's son and his beast of a Bronze? We'll do better on our own.

I will tell him. There was slight disapproval in Akerth's tone, but not so much as to indicate that he wouldn't do as he'd indicated.

No. Shards! Tell him that I think that's an excellent idea. We Weyrlings need to learn to work together. T'rus's tone held nothing like sincerity, but his smile only became all the warmer. Yes, he had problems with the Bronze rider. Oh, he'd loved the Bronzes until a Brown had chosen him. Now, with the world sharpened and change, that love had flipped, turning into something cold and hard. Maybe he'd get over it in time. When the hurt wasn't so fresh. After all, hate made for poor leadership.

It is a good idea. And T'rus is willing. We are in our bunk, waiting.
