As you can see, she uses really bright colors in her crochet. That might not match mori girl aesthetics, but the tone of the blog does. It also has several patterns that you could just switch the color scheme to make great accessories. I've made literally hundreds of flowers from this pattern and made them into barrettes with buttons in the center:
