I've heard some things about Resident Evil 6, that I'm sure you all know already, and decided to share some of the info. There are 3 different stories. Leon's story, which is more survival horror, Chris's story which is more action based, and Jakes story which is supposed to be like Resident Evil 3. If your playing with a friend you can both pick up an item that appears on the ground. Like if theres an herb there you can pick it up even if your friend already has. It has local co-op. While on their back, characters can roll to either side or even slowly crawl back or forth. All of these moves can be performed while shooting. It is also possible to counter enemies, causing the player to turn weapons the enemy is using against them. There are situations where co-op partners will split up where each character has a different goal. Each pair of characters also has their own unique HUD and they will be able to access weapons and healing items through a quick menu or a full menu. The menus in game will also be customizable. Not sure what that exactly means though. Resident Evil 6 is also the first Resident Evil game to implement a system of Skill Points. Enemies will drop skill points which you can use to get skills to customize your character like increasing your firearm power, or your durability. Puzzles will return and will be more like the first three Resident Evil games where you have to explore a bit before you are able to solve them. Some enemies have been described as being "bullet-sponges," providing the game with the familiar feeling of running out of ammo and provoking players to try and run from or evade more enemies. Mercenaries mode is returning. Thats all the worthwhile info I've got.
I have to say it's pretty amazing. Played it the other day on xbox. Tried out all 3 stories and Co-Op with all three and each was amazing in it's own way. Although I didn't like Chris so much. I like Leon and Jakes better. Leon gave me that sense of "Yes, back to being a bad a**" I just can't get into Chris. But the zombies are bullet sponges. Theres a lot of dramatic scenes to. I have to say it's going to be a great game. The menu is very maneuverable as well.

Did you aim at the zombies heads? Or it that somehow not a critical hit area? So long as there not impossible to kill it'll be ok I think. I'll have to see a walkthrough to know exactly what you mean I gusse. As an estimate how many shots does it take to down a zombie in that game without hitting a critical area, assumeing there is one. The menu is maneuverable? You can move the menu? Thats... bizzare. I'm not sure how that would help.

I've got a little bit of new... news. And by a little bit I mean one new peice of info. And that is that after beating the 3 main story lines you unlock Ada's story. According to what I've heard its singleplayer only so Ada has no partner. Thats all the new info I got on it. Not sure if anyone will even see this though.

Well I freakin' loved the animation in Damnation it was exceptional, they added more movement to hair and the clothing than how it was for degeneration. so it added a realism to it which made it amazing. as for the game, i haven't actually played 6 myself yet, but I did watch all 4 walkthroughs on the game on youtube, and thought it was pretty good, still don't like the fact that they gave Wesker a kid, I mean if they wanted to keep 'wesker' around in some manner they should have never killed him in 5. I'm not a fan of Jake's attitude, but then again, it seemed that everyone had an attitude in this game except for Ada and Simmons. Simmons' was just a massive snob in my opinion lol, but i must say this new set up they're starting to put together for the next wave of RE games, though still they'll never compare to Wesker. I will say my favorite part of the whole game would be Leon's setting, it just seemed much more creepier than everyone else's scenarios, aside from Ada's which is a close second. Over all I think it was a very well put together game, but there are a few problems I had with it lol, they'll stick out like a sore thumb when you see them. ^^

I've only seen the movie once. My impression is very first impact. I've needed to sit down and have another go at it to be a bit more subjective. But here goes: Leon was a step above his interpretation in both RE6 and the live action movies. I daresay he's the second best Leon, right after RE4. The graphics were great, but that was to be expected. Ada is not my fave character so I try not to think too much about her; but her fight scene was great. I wish that female president was featured soon in something else. She seems to have a lot of untapped potential, perhaps even being Jake's mother.

Going into RE6 I expected good gameplay and an Okay story. I got great gameplay, much better than I thought it would be. The story was however a bit of a mess, introducing many new concepts but not really explaining or taking the time to develop any of them, such as Carla, Simmons, Neo-Umbrella or Jake's background. The game's narrative also falls into the trap of leaving far too much exposition to the files you get from collecting emblems. RE5 had this flaw, but to a much lesser degree, since it didn't try to cram for stories in one game. In the end I was left with more questions than answers, but I expected that.

The stars in my mind of this game were Chris and Jake. Jake was new and interesting, plus his character really was as best developed as this team seems capable of developing a new character, and Chris had some nice evolution and pathos going on. Their partners, Sherry and Piers, also lent a great deal to the story. Leon on the other had, was okay. He felt like he was going through the motions sometimes though, as he didn't have something as personal to pull him into the story, as the loss of Chris' team, or Jake's blood being a key. Helena also failed to win me over, specially when she dressed up as Claire in the 4th live action movie.

Finally, I found myself being good at Mercenaries for the first time ever, which is nice.

When did this place come back to life?

I haven't seen Damnation, hey I need to give my family something for the Christmas list, and I don't know how long it will take before I end up wacthing it. Sometimes a movie I bought will just sit on the shelve for months before I wacth it. Don't know why.

Now 6 on the other hand I've played the hell out of it. Its about time weve been able to move and shoot in the main serise and on console, moving and shooting first came in Outbreak File#2, I love the dodge system because unlike the old games it works. In Resident Evil 3 it would almost never work and when it did it got me killed. Kinda the oppisite of what its supposed to do. Quickshot was nice and help often. I like seeing how the stories connected. For once I actually felt pretty bad when characters died. Like the group of surviors in Leons story. In the old games they would have just been dead, but here you actually work with them. And the thing with Chris's team its was like the game went off it's happy pills, because it got pretty deperssing form there on out. Even the end of Chris's story was sad, but good. Jakes story I don't remeber to well. In enjoyed Leon's story. I love when its about to show Simmons die. Adas story I kinda liked because it made me think I was playing a stealth action game sometimes. I found the new melee system to be weird at first but I got the hang of it. i found myself actually using the knife. Mostly in Leons story since in the other stories they have guns so its not the best idea. Mercs is still very fun.

I think I might pick up 6 when I get the cash, Is Ada's story as hard as it was in RE4? As I recall I had some trouble playing her Mission thing.

Are you talking about Seperate Ways or Assignment Ada? The canon one is Seperate Ways, which if I remeber right, got tricky sometimes but not as much as Assignment Ada which would out right destroy the player. But to awnser your question no it isn't. In fact the first mission as her and probably some others felt a little like a stealth action game since you can quietly take down enemies one by one with melee some long as other enemies don't see you.

Ada's campaign was a weird mix of game elements, like stealth, classic RE, and even some Gears of War/Mass Effect type wall-hugging shooter.

I definitely miss renting. Sure there's gamefly, but I preferred the quickness and simplicity of a store.
