I left my purse on the plane home yesterday. I called the airline as soon as I got home, so my purse is now sitting safely in an office in edmonton, locked away. The question however, is how the hell to get it home. After talking to someone from the afroementioned office in edmonton, I found out that the airline isn't allowed to send it back on a plane because of liability. My ID and credit cards are in there and all that jazz. He suggested I have purolator or Fedex pick it up for me, but after calling both those companies, I was informed that they won't do pickups without a pre-existing account. And in order to make an account, they need a credit card number.
So, they wont ship me my purse without a credit card, but I cant give them my credit card unless they ship me my purse.

Uh oh.

Can you borrow someone else's credit information and pay them back? Or can you see if you can find the info on an old bill or something?

That was the other detail: My parents are on a two week trip in Mexico, so its just my sister and I right now.
And my boyfriend maxed out his card buying parts again, the twit.

Anyway, I ended up asking my best friend's mom for use of her card/.
12 phone calls later it was finally set up... (FedEx was annoyed that the airport didnt have a street address, so I called someone at the airport who had me call someone else, who had me call someone else.... and in the end, the last person told me to make something up.)
Anyway, the purse should get here tomorrow.

It would indeed.
And this way, when I confess to my parents what happened, I can simultaneously impress them with how I figured it out without them. ;P
They were still a bit lukewarm about leaving the two of us alone, despite the fact I am 18 and have done this once before.
Suffice to say I dont really appreciate this little tragedy, but the fact that I managed to dig out of it without their help is a bit redeeming.

are fed ex such idiots that they imagine an airport needs a street address?

who ever says "well you can find the airport at 1700 airport road extension" or whatever?

it just is where it is; everything else uses it as a reference point and not vice versa.
