Ruby Hayashi JewelsSparkle I don't wear makeup on a regular basis.
If I feel like dressing up, doing my hair nice & getting generally prettied up, then of course I'll wear it, but I'm not about to waste precious sleeping time putting it on!
I wear makeup when:
*I'm having a really "ugly" day, or feel very un-confident (not a word, but I'm tired & it expresses what I mean! blaugh )
*I need to be really confident & look as well as feel good (eg: Job interview etc)
*I'm going out (party/club/etc) & am getting dressed up for it.
*If I'm planning on being out for long after dark (eg: going to a movie at night, then going out for coffee etc). Purely because I have very pale skin. The few times I've been "out" after dark without makeup, I've had several people say to me "Are you ok? You look really sick...." (No, I'm just pale!.... If I'm out when I'm sick... even just a very light cold, everyone tells me I look like death warmed up... thanks guys! blaugh )
Generally, I'm, confident enough in my own skin to not wear it & still look (& feel ) good... at least my fiance thinks so... & his is the only opinion that matters there! Ah another pale as death person. Easiest way to not have people gawk at your paleness is to simply put a light blush on and it brightens the face enough that you don't get a green sick pale tint that most pale people get in the wrong lighting.
My instant "feel pretty" is eyelash curler (& a little mascara to seal it) & lip gloss.
So I can just add blush to that & it becomes "after dark pretty" too (save me the extra bother of mixing my foundation - I use the 3-in-1 sticks... & of course, I'm in between the 2 lightest shades... so I have to mix)?

Yes, in old times it was makeup that was either worn by actors/actresses or whores. Now it's animal prints.

Ah acting... the 2nd oldest profession next to prostitution!
Also animal prints are worn by quite a lot of people lately... not just prositutes & actors/actresses (as an actress I resent that! I don't wear animal prints, lol... never really liked them).
