`raze Lorelei: -Feels someone looking at her, and he is quick to turn her attentive eyes towards the stallion. Almost immediately she straightens her back and tosses her mane, trying to come off as bigger and prouder, though her own lips turn into a frown- Derivative Einarr: [is not in the mood to deal with anyone, really, but also can't turn his back on someone trying to throw their weight around, mare or not. Narrows his eyes and steps closer, but still keeps a distance, expression entirely distasteful. Eyes her, and then her belly, lips peeling back further] Isn't it a bit dangerous to be out on your own, mare? `raze Lorelei: -Wants to smirk at evoking a reaction out of the stallion, but keeps from doing so. Instead she cocks her head to one side and raises a brow at his words- Dangerous? Haha, you must have me mistaken for someone meek and feeble, my good sir. -She almost hisses the words, her eyes never leaving his face- Now why oh why would it matter to you? Derivative Einarr: [ears pin at her, but he remains immobile, save his tail lashing behind him] No matter how strong you generally are, you're rather vulernable right now. [narrows his eyes, voice softening] Maybe I'm looking for an easy mark. Logue Viraj: Einarr. [comes swooping down, landing between Einarr and Lorelei] Enough. I see the way you're threatening the mother of my children. Derivative Einarr: [looks really surprised, and pins his ears at Viraj now, all but spitting] She is the mother of your children? [takes a few quick steps back, snarling at him, and looks between the two] ... fitting. `raze Lorelei: Oh, aren't you so strong and scary! You know a real stallion picks on a girl carrying young-- -She stops and takes a step back, giving Viraj space. Though her heart flutters at the sight of him, she does her best to hide it- Logue Viraj: [unfazed, closes his eyes for a moment before opening them again to stare at Einarr] Tell me, Einarr, has she upset you? Derivative Einarr: [stomps a hoof against the ground, having all this anger and no where to put it] Tell your empty-headed mare to take better care of the young she's growing, Viraj, or someone's going to take care of her. [turns to stalk off, because he's embarrassed and irritated and doesn't know what to do with himself when he's like that >>] `raze Lorelei: -Watches Viraj carefully, relishing that for once someone is standing up for her for once. It was... different. At being called empty headed however, fury appeared on her face and a low growl emitted from her throat- Logue Viraj: I understand. You don't know how to react to this. I should have told you sooner, Einarr. But make no mistake. [flicks his tail out, the motion whip-like] I won't tolerate you distressing Lorelei. I am to be a father, and I would like it if it were to stay that way.

It had been a long time since Einarr had felt so livid, and if he'd been asked, he couldn't have even stated why he felt the way he did. His entire body was alive with the need to fight, or run, or burn off the excess energy somehow, and he didn't have an outlet or a target. He was frustrated and embarrassed, and as always, couldn't express himself in a way that was easily understood by others. Perhaps because of the time he'd spent with the Kalona stallion Einarr had come to take his easy humor for granted, had assumed that he would interpret his rough and callous ways properly at all times; this was clearly not the case.
Einarr didn't know the mare. He didn't care about the mare, except for the fact that she was carrying foals, and despite himself, he had a softness for them. It was foolish and stupid for any pregnant mare to wander alone, especially with night falling over the land, and he hated to see it. Not because he worried about the mother, but because of the children who didn't have the capability or means to defend themselves against a world that was ugly and cruel. He was protecting them, but merely telling someone it was for their own good rarely prompted an action; you had to scare them, you had to threaten them, you had to be angry and cruel.
He looked angry and cruel. His body was fit and intimidating, cursed with the features of a Kalona father he never knew nor cared to, adorned with heavy bones that defended as well as scarred his opponents. In the past, he had used his appearance to his advantage, keeping all at a distance that felt safe, but his time in Kawani lands brought others close to him.
Celandine, against his will. Isriel, despite himself. Viraj, whom he'd fought time and again, grudgingly begun to accept as.. a presence in his life, despite his deeply rooted hatred for Kalona.
Only now, Viraj was standing before him, defending the thoughtless scrap of a mare whose ego took precedence over the safety of his children, against Einarr.
He obviously did not know him as well as he'd thought.
Too young and hot-headed to realize the hurt threading behind the temper, he bared his teeth again, his tone as sharp and dangerous as they were. "I am not going to harm your children, Viraj."
Tossing his head, a snarl vibrating up his throat, he added, "I'm less of a threat than she is."
Everything inside of him screamed to stalk away, but something kept him rooted there, eyes flashing at Viraj. The mare -- whatever her name was, he didn't care -- was forgotten except as an object of scorn.
