I have a friend whose birthday just passed, and my present to her is going to be a story about Birthdays. I want it to be heart-felt to her, so she feels great for becoming one year older. Not really close friends with her, but she's a good person and she deserves this. I'm not great at making plots for this kind of thing, so a little bit of help to get me going? Thanks in advance!

Well, you could write the story in two parts, maybe - like, describe how she was when she was quite young, and then (in a nice way) show how much better she has become after a few years and is now the age she's at.

Wow, thanks! I should do that. The thing is, what if I don't know much about her? That could be a problem.
