SOOOO Ive been working three Jobs.

Graphic Artist/Designer for my church, Market Research, and a Vendor at Universal Studios Hollywood. Oh boy.

God has given me a great chance to be a servant by designing for the church, Using the talents He has given me to serve him and his church.

There isnt a lot that I can really do seeing as how I live 2 hours by train from my church. So I am very glad I get to do this. What about you folks? Service is a very important part of life as a Christian. Its shown in Jesus himself when he met the physical needs of the people, then he addressed their spirtual needs.

So what types of things do you do to serve God and your church? It could be anything:
Obeying your parents, and doing chores without having to be asked.
Doing extra chores without wanting recognition or a return.
Serving in a ministry team at your church or youth group.
Church worship band.

There are so many types of things that you can do. Even just being kind to a stranger, or going out of your way to be helpful. What type of things are you guys doing to help? Or if you arent doing anything, what are some areas that you can become a servant in?

This thread is to discuss service and ways that we can be servants.

i would like to serve in the pastorz twelve.

laying hands on people and praying for their lives and every problem they might have.

to cast out demons and to purify those who need it.

i would like to be a pastor........ but not a religious one like so many people find easy to do.......

i would like to be a worrier.... not for the world..... but for the army of Christ.

I help out at my church's kids' group, along with two other teenagers from my church. They've kind of dropped us in at the deep end; I had to do a group time for all twenty or so boys there, and the other two help out with games and stuff from time to time. They also get me to do talks and stuff, but not the other two for some reason. :/

My youth group has also started doing a peer-leadership thing, but I'm not happy with that 'cause I got paired with someone from a different denomination, which is borderline cult. They (I don't think his denomination teach them, but he seems to have gleaned his really dodgy theology from things he's misinterpreted) seem to say that the Bible isn't important. He once told me that he didn't really think you need to actually become a Christian to be a Christian. So yeah, he then yells at me every time I contradict him. rolleyes But hey, I try to help.

I watch little kids after wednesday service while the choir practices and I crank that bass for the worship band in my youth group. Now, I'm starting to try to find a replacement bassist for when I ship to Fort Jackson in May... Joy....

I wouldn't mind being a pastor. I'm looking for a city that has a good law school and seminary / divinity program. There's one in this city (or so I hear) but I haven't yet checked it out

just wanted to let all the servents of God........ KEEP IT UP smile

for what you do in the dark God will bring out to the light and give glory to those who disserve it.
