Lupo-dog
Neko-cat
Kitsune-fox
Oso-bear
Oni-demon (added because I didn't feel like adding rabbit... I like writing about demons when I'm bored. This was typed out of boredom otherwise I wouldn't have done the assignment since I have a 107.6 in there right now)
Sleep
Long ago all of the races lived in one village. They were calm and peaceful, believing that they were all created to get along. Several thought differently. Groups banded together and everyone was forced to choose sides, most going with there racial group. A matter of life, or death. The war of the races lasted a full century and maybe even longer. The history books were destroyed during the war. Many things were destroyed. The races consist of the Lupo, Neko, Kitsune, Oso, and Oni. The Lupo race is strong, fierce warriors who rely on their muscle and speed. The Neko race rely on their smaller builds and good footing for survival. The Kitsune race rely on slyness alone. The Oso race depends on brute strength and ability to camouflage themselves. The Oni race is completely different though. They are a dark, sinister people that use magic. Dark magic. The races were just to different to settle their differences. Many died and no race came out on top. They simply formed there own villages and tried to heal the scars that were created between the races. But to no avail.
“The Days of Peace have ended. Only does pain and hate ring out from the souls of the races. They have lost there innocence.”
It is written that someday peace may prevail once again.

Sinasta fell from a large oak tree and into her brothers arms. She placed her pale arms around his neck and smiled. “Hey Aiden.” She said as she panted. “I climbed pretty high today!” She said proudly.
“I saw. Be more careful!” Aiden replied with a laugh. He slung his sister onto his back and began to walk back to the Village of Raposa, which is where there family lived. “We’re gonna be late if we don’t hurry!” He said with a laugh as he began to pick up speed, his seven year old sister holding on for dear life.

It had been years since Sinasta had seen her brother. He ran away shortly after that day. She was now sixteen and about to be married into another family because said family was in a high rank. It would bring wealth to her small clan and she was the most beautiful sixteen year old in the entire village of Raposa. Sinasta sighed a deep, long sigh as she blew her bangs away from her pale face. Her dark blue orbs scanned the crowd, looking for her arranged fiancé. Her eyes rested on a tall, thin man that was at least nineteen. Her heart skipped a beat and her legs stopped working. She knew that this man was not her betrothed but she couldn‘t help it. He was beautiful. Almost to beautiful for her to believe that he was standing in front of her. He had shaggy black hair that swept over to the right slightly and gorgeous pale green eyes that seemed to pick her apart and see deep down into her soul. “Hane?” She asked said male as she stepped up in front of him. They had been childhood friends but Hane had moved. She hadn’t known that he had moved back into Raposa until then. Hane nodded then smiled.
“Sinasta…” Hane said then trailed off. “Its been a while.” Sinasta nodded then awkwardly stepped closer. She put her arms around Hane and her thoughts traveled back to the first time that they had met.
“Ouch!” A ten year old Sinasta said as she rubbed her head. She picked up the rock that had been thrown by an older boy. He was about fifteen with a shapeless face, dark brown hair and deep set brown eyes and went by the name of Daemon. He was one of the bullies that you didn’t want to be targeted by.
“You think that hurt, huh little girl?” Daemon asked with a laugh. “Then this is going to be even worse.” He said as he pushed her into a tree that sat next to Tora river, which was one of the fastest running rivers within one hundred miles near Raposa Village. Sinasta let out a grunt then tried to push away from the tree but Daemon blocked her way. “Girls like you,” He started. “Annoy me. Your always talking.” Daemon finished.
“I don’t know what your talking about!” Sinasta said as she tried to shove past the older boy. Daemon slammed his hands on either side of Sinasta’s head. She let out a squeak then edged back against the tree to create as much room between herself and Daemon as possible. Daemon’s eye twitched slightly.
“Stupid girl.” He said as he grabbed Sinasta by the hair and pushed her to the side, letting her fall into Tora River.
Thump thump
Thump thump
Thump thump
Thump thump
Thump thump
Sinasta lifted her head, her heart beat pounding in her ears. She opened her eyes slowly to see a boy about three years older than herself with dark hair and the most concerned green eyes that Sinasta had ever seen. “How do you feel?” The boy asked as he touched her head the helped Sinasta stand.
“Okay for someone who was thrown into a river.” Sinasta replied sarcastically as she smoothed down her soaked shirt. She looked over the boy that had saved her then smiled. “Thanks for saving me.” She said as she fiddled with the hem of her skirt. “I’m Sinasta.”
“I’m Hane.” He said as he smiled back. “I’ll walk you back to your house.”
“Okay! You can stay for dinner!”
Sinasta stepped away from Hane then looked up. “Wow your tall now!” She said as she shaded her eyes from the sun. Hane laughed then patted her head.
“And your still short.” Hane commented as he smiled down at Sinasta. “Where you headed? I’ll walk you.” Sinasta bit her bottom lip then looked down slightly. “I’m going to uh,” Sinasta paused. “Meet my arranged fiancé.” She finished as she turned her foot inward slightly. Hane sighed a sad sigh.
“Well that sucks.” Hane said quietly. “I came back to ask you to marry me.” He admitted with yet another sigh. “I guess I’m to late.” Sinasta wilted. She used to have such a huge crush on Hane when she was younger and had never stopped loving him.
“I’ll run away with you.” Sinasta said quietly. She knew that her family would be furious. Hane smiled slightly.
“Then we’ll meet at the village gates tonight at eleven.” Hane replied briskly. “We’ll go far away from here.” Sinasta perked up.
“See you then.” Sinasta said as she turned away from Hane. She, the goody-goody was going to run away. She the pure innocent child was going to marry her first love. “Big Brother would be proud.” She muttered as she went out to the Tora River. She sat down and looked into the clear water. Sinasta sat for a while until a shadow loomed over her she jumped up and spun around. “Y-you!” She said when she laid eyes on the bully from her childhood memories.
“Hey princess.” Daemon purred as he stepped closer to Sinasta. His face was now more defined and chiseled. He was every girls image of tall dark and handsome. “You’ve grown quite beautifully.” He commented as he reached out and stroked Sinasta’s hair. “So pretty.” he whispered into Sinasta’s ear.
“Get away from me.” Sinasta choked out as she tried to push away from Daemon. He was even stronger than she remembered and much more intimidating. “Please.” She whimpered out as he lowered his head and kissed her roughly. She moved her head then spat at Daemon who threw her against a tree.
“You’re the same little brat that you were before!” Daemon roared as he pushed her again into another tree at the edge of the water. He grabbed Sinasta around the neck and pushed hard on her wind pipe so she couldn’t breath then tossed her into the water.
Sinasta’s lungs filled quickly with the cool, clear liquid that flowed all around her. She closed her eyes and thought of him. Of Hane. The one that she was going to run away with. How Hane would go looking for her and how he wouldn’t find her. Hane would leave. He would leave angry at her. Tears mixed with the water and something caught Sinasta’s leg. Blood mixed in with the tears. She began to fall into her final sleep, her soul willing her to mutter one word over and over until her death. “Hane…Hane…Hane.” Her last thought was one line in a book that she had read from a faraway place by a man named Shakespeare. “The sleeping and the dead are but as pictures.” The line seemed so perfect now. She let her lids fall as she fell into her eternal sleep.
