History: In the days before the wars, one of the main scientific experiments performed by humans was a perfectly natural cross between a Demon and an Angel. The believed "Natural Medium," was a body that could contain both demonic and angelic qualities in perfect balance. At the time, it was believed to be a human form. So, human scientists took reproductive cells from all three species, and created many attempts to balance the powers, nearly all of which failed. The idea was eventually abandoned, except by an obsessed few. One crazed Russian doctor, Dr. Viktor Klauskovitch, continued this work, even during the war. Recently (about 12 years ago), he accidentally succeeded in creating a (seemingly) perfect balance of Angel and Demon, with human flesh being used as a medium. He named the creation Paradox, after the well known term meaning something impossible. Born to a poor Russian family because of Dr. Viktor’s untimely death, Paradox was named in the human style, for his creator. Viktor, Paradox’s new name, was used for a traveling circus freak show, because of his amazing ability to send powerful blasts of energy from his body, creating quite a spectacle at the time… until he stumbled upon the remains of Dr. Viktor’s lab, destroyed after a bombing raid of a small band of humans. Finding his own files, he realized the truth of his origin and abandoned his family. He spent a few years wandering aimlessly, seeking acceptance and knowledge of how to contain his powers and find inner peace.
Personality: His entire life has been a constant battle of himself, meaning his Angelic side and his Demonic side. He is prone to severe mood swings, extreme anger followed by nearly crazed manic periods, and the like. He tries to hide his conflicting mind and emotions by keeping silent, but sometimes holds conversations with himself while he’s alone. He also keeps an Angel wing feather and a Demon’s tooth, from his “real parents”, which he also sometimes talks to. With severe conflicting mind and body, come severe setbacks. Paradox has slight mental issues, ranging from severe ADHD and Borderline Personality Disorder, to mild Schizophrenia and extreme, random changes in thinking styles. His own body also rejects itself sometimes, causing random seizures and blackouts, and also frequent sickness.
Extra: Paradox believes he should not exist. He has severe trust issues, and stays so silent that most believe him to be a mute. For the last few years of his life with his family, they had the circus physician/psychologist do continual check-ups. Before running from the circus, Paradox mercilessly slaughtered him. He has never laughed, even once in his entire life. He keeps his teeth sharpened, like a Demon, and he has natural claws. His outer appearance at first appears to be simply human, while closer inspection reveals outer Demon qualities, but put on an Angelic body style.
