A worm is at the bottom of a forty metre hole. It can crawl upwards at the rate of four metres in one day, but at night, it slips back four metres. At this rate, how long will it take the worm to crawl out of the hole?

I think you mean the worm slides back down 3 meters.....if so then it will take the worm 37 days to get out.
