It's been brought up in past threads that Homme has been one of my main musical influence for years. What do you guys think of him? I love everything he has been in so fare: Kyuss, Queens of the Stone Age, Eagles of Death Metal and now Them Crooked Vultures. Whatcha niggas think?

QotSA is good, and I ******** love Them Crooked Vultures.

I've heard that a lot actually. In all the interviews I've read though I've never gotten that vibe.

Honestly, some of Them Crooked Vultures songs sound like they could easily be Queens songs... Like Gunman and the chorus to Scumbag Blues. Then again, Homme just loves that repetitive groove.

Any of you guys check out any of The Desert Sessions? The idea is cool: Improve music sessions with various artists. Some of the songs are kinda weird and drugged out. Though there are some diamonds in the rough. Many Queens songs were originally Desert Session songs. The song Screamin' Eagle is a really bad a** little instrumental. Many a time has been spent speeding in my jeep with the top down to that song.
