in the crowded room filled with reporters, Janelle Damone stands at the podium to kick off the Darkest Battleground Press conference
Janelle: Welcome ladies and gentlemen to our second press conference. Things are going full steam ahead so it looks like you can get used to this. We're heading into our fourth pay per view, the Darkest Battleground, which I think I aptly named as it features the grueling & grotesque structure, the elimination chamber. Six men are set to step into this torture chamber as they compete for the world championship. And first up, we have one of the participants here, the Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michels!
Janelle steps down as Shawn Michaels takes the podium
Shawn: You know, I been around a long time, and I've been in my fair share of grueling match ups. I was the first man to ever win a hell in a cell match. I popularized the ladder match. I was in the first ironman match, and i won the first elimination chamber match. I have the advantage of experience heading into the elimination chamber.
reporters raise their hands and Shawn picks a female at random
reporter: You've had several opportunities at the championship since SEWF started, and each time you lost. You lost in the first round of the tournament to decide the champion, and you lost to the current champion several times. Doesn't that even the playing field?
Shawn: See, the thing is, I know what to expect going into the elimination chamber. And yeah, the Undertaker has been in a few and so has Jericho, but its not their time. Yeah, I admit, I've been on the losing end here lately. But it's time. I can feel it coming. The Heartbreak Kid most definitely has another run in him.
reporters raise their hand and shawn picks a different female reporter
reporter: So what you're saying is that you're hungrier than the others?
Shawn: That's exactly what I'm saying. They call this the Darkest Battleground, and for five other men it will be, because on this and any other battleground, I can turn their lights out in the blink of an eye. It only takes one shot. Darkest Battleground should be called HBK's battleground, because at the end of the night, I will be standing tall, five other men will be flat on their back, and the SEWF World championship will be where it belongs, with me.

Janelle: Next up is our reigning SEWF International champion, Randy Orton, and his tag team partner, Edge.
Orton & Edge step up to the podium. Orton has the title belt on his shoulder and takes the mic first.
Orton: This Sunday I will go back to what I always did best and that's killing legends. At Darkest Battleground, the legend of the Dragon will meet its end at the hands of Rated RKO.
reporters raise their hands and Edge picks a male reporter
reporter: You seem fairly confident that you can defeat Jarel Damone this Sunday, but haven't you been on a bit of a losing streak recently? Just last month you lost to Cartwright, who is now challenging for the world championship this Sunday.
Orton: Jarel Damone doesn't scare me any more than any other man on the face of the planet. Like all those before him, he's clinging to a career that should have ended years ago. I'm younger, I'm faster, I'm more talented and better looking. There is no way Jarel will even walk out of Darkest Battleground, let alone defeat me for my title.
reporter: Yet for the past several weeks, Jarel Damone has had the upper hand on you two. You have yet to actually pin him.
Edge: So he got a couple of fluke victories? Big deal. The fact is he has to take us on alone. No matter what he tries, we're going to come out with the gold and he's going out on a stretcher

Janelle: OK, I suppose it's my turn to have a word. For the first time since i began this promotion, I will actually step into the ring to wrestle. I was called out by an apparently frustrated Trish Stratus due to her inability to win a match. she lost three straight women's championship matches and lost to Christy Hemme, so she blames me.
reporter: So you never intended to step into the ring in SEWF?
Janelle: As far as I'm concerned this match is pointless. No, I never intended to be an active competitor here. I'm retired and enjoying it. I'm an announcer now. This won't advance Trish Stratus's career here.
reporter: So a win over you wouldn't guarantee her another women's title shot?
Janelle: Definitely not. If I gave her one, assuming by some miracle she beats me, then I'd have to give every woman a title shot if they challenged me and won. All Trish Stratus is going to get from this is an a** kicking, and then she's going to have to try to earn her way back to the top.

Janelle:And now to wrap things up, the Unholy Alliance, Jarel & Zarel Damone
Jarel & Zarel step up the podium, Zarel wearing the title belt on his shoulder.
Jarel: So this Sunday we come to the Darkest Battleground, and neither of the two of us has odds in our favor
Zarel: We're pretty used to this type of situation though.
Jarel: But one thing we're not used to is cowards like Randy Orton and Edge. They made one huge mistake when they chose to take out our little brother, and the only reason they don't have to deal with both of us this Sunday is because I can go it alone.
Zarel: After this Sunday, I'll be more than happy to kick Orton & Edge's asses again. Nobody takes out one of the Alliance and gets to brag for long
reporters hands raise and Jarel calls the closest one in the front row
Reporter: Jarel, the odds have been stacked against you since your brother was taken out. With Zarel defending his gold in the main event, how do you plan to take out RKO, and what is your real goal, to take them out or win the SEWF International championship?
Jarel: What makes you think I can't do both? I've been in this business longer than either of them. I've beaten every big name to ever come into the business. I've beaten both Randy Orton and Edge. The fact that they're together doesn't mean a thing. All it means is I have to make sure i exert some extra effort. At the end of the night, the SEWF International championship will be coming home with me, and those two won't know what hit them.
Reporter: Zarel, you have an even tougher task of defeating five other men to retain your title. You've beaten them in singles competition over the past several weeks but with all of them coming at you at one time, are you still confident that you can win?
Zarel: I don't care how many come at me. This title is mine. I am the first SEWF World champion. I've defended this belt more than just about any other champion on the roster. When it comes down to it, I'm going to get the job done like no one else. The other five men are nothing more than my victims on the Darkest Battleground
