At those words, Sonnet could do nothing but sigh ever so slightly. She knew this say would happen, the day that Deskri would find someone to love him, someone he could equally love back.
"Good for you Deskri!" she said finally with a genuine smile upon your face. "See, I told you you'd find someone. I had a feeling that it'd be Rasiel. You two seem to get along so well together..."
She then became quiet once again as she thought. She wondered if perhaps the reason why Deskri took so long in finding her, in figuring out she had been captured, was because he was having a good time with Rasiel. Sonnet shook her head. No, Deskri would never have done that. Something horrible probably came up. He'd never just abandon her like that....would he?

"Yeah, you did." He smiled a little, she seemed to be taking it alright... at first, anyway. For as blind as he was to her feelings, he did know how to tell when she was upset. "P-part... of the reason it took me so long... to um, find out what was going on with you..." He looked away again, suddenly feeling very ashamed of himself.
"Well... K-Kagyaku leaving took days, and then I slept forever... and then Alice dragged me out of my room because Rasiel apparently killed himself somehow." He paused again, wondering if he should even continue. "So I was with him for another day... and then the ball... yesterday? I don't even remember, a lot of stuff happened..." He sighed, bracing himself for the betrayed tone of voice he was bound to hear from Sonnet if she chose to respond to his confession of neglect.

Sonnet looked at Deskri as he told her what all went on that kept him from looking for her. Most she accepted, but there was one that really didn't seem right to her. A ball? Why would Deskri even go to one? Last time she checked he wasn't all that fond of it, but then again he did now have Rasiel now so he'd have someone to cling to as a slow dance came on...
"Ah, I see," she said with a nod. "Well, that's understandable. Banishing out a...bad thing like Kagy would take a lot out of you, and you were able to help Rasiel, right? No harm done..."

"No harm done?" He looked up, staring at her in disbelief. "I-- I forgot to come check on you! I-if I'd done that you probably wouldn't be in here, suffering!" He shook his head. "Yes I helped Rasiel but I didn't have to go to that damn ball, I only went because Asu called and threatened to harass me if I didn't..." He calmed down again, still feeling ashamed of himself for not sticking to his promise of being there when she needed him.

Sonnet's face softened, and she reached out and grabbed Deskri's hand and held them in both of hers.
"You hush..." she said, using one of her hands to pat his. "The first thing about being there when someone needs you is that you need to know that they need you. You aren't a mind reader, and I know first hand how crazy your mother can be..." She then took a deep breath and smiled a bit.
"I don't blame you for anything Deskri. Accidents happen, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, ect ect ect. I'm just glad you're here now, and that's all I need."

"But Sonnet, after what happened in the dorm I should have known that you'd at least need me to come look in on you." He sighed, feeling a little better that she wasn't mad. "She'dve backed off if I told her you were in trouble..." He muttered lightly, and even if Asu hadn't, he would have disobeyed her and gone to check on Sonnet anyway.
"Okay.. I'll- I really hope there isn't a next time, but knowing the crap that happens.... I'll do better next time."

"That's all I ask," she said with a small smile, giving his hand a light squeeze. Even though he'd never love her like the way he loved Rasiel, she was content with them still being friends, so long as Rasiel wasn't overly possessive or something.
"I really do need to spend more time with Rasiel..." she mused out loud before sighing a bit. "After all, I don't want to have to be all covert and sneaky to make sure he's treating you well..." She then stuck out her tongue playfully at him before chuckling, and this time it didn't seem to hurt.

"We should have a movie night or something." Deskri nodded, cheering up rather quickly. "We could like, push the beds together and everything, I bet it'd be fun... and I doubt he'd mind, he said he thought of you as a friend too, so..." He grinned widely, liking the idea even more. "And he's treating me just fine, Sonnet." Deskri gained a bit of a pink tone to his cheeks and shook his head a little, still grinning.

"Uh-huh..." Sonnet remarked sarcastically. "I'll as your best friend, shall be the judge of that," she said before giggling a bit.
"Oh! A movie night! That'd be fun! There are some popcorn recipes I've been wanting to try...maybe I can provide snacks and have you all try them? Maybe Rasiel can invite someone else over too. He probably has a friend he'd like to invite..."

"Fine, fine." Deskri shook his head with a grin and sighed. "That's a good idea, I'll mention it to him later, when he gets back from visiting Alice and her four hellion children." He laughed a little, mostly because he was still amused by the fact that Syth would have to deal with those children, too.
