Personality: The best way to describe him would be 'loose', or 'simplistic'. His power allowed him to overcome the Saint and claim lordship over the Clan, but the fact remains that he is a bit too idiosyncratic to be much of a leader. He prefers sake to strategy, and plays his lute when he should be working on upgrading defenses against the Miyoshi. He unintentionally keeps the clan poor not because he means to, but because his instincts lead him to hoarding treasure in his bed chamber upon which he sleeps as though it were a squishy futon. And when finally coaxed into battle, his commands are often simplistic and disastrous in ways such as marching through a thick mud because he prefers to travel in straight lines towards the enemy. Only his overwhelming strength and the power of his great war fan allow him to overcome these shortcomings, and it is this strength and his jovial, boisterous, and quite friendly nature with his clans members which endears him to them and allows him to get along. And though his loose methods make him seem careless, he actually cares about the members of his clan a great deal. He is not afraid to strike back anywhere his members are bothered...not the least of the reasons behind that being the chance to add more loot to his treasure trove from the conquered foes. ...He also loves ladies, putting it frankly, though he is not renowned as a pervert. His preference would be the particularly strong ones, who aren't afraid to show some spirit.
Bio: In his youth, Ryugetsei was not yet a member of the Iyokono Clan. He can't remember a time when he was young that he had anybody that he could call a friend or his family. It didn't bother him; he had mastered his human form at a young age and was able to blend in as a street vagabond for some time, traveling the island of Shikoku and living on that which he could manage to steal. He snatched purses, food, whatever he could get his hands on...and yet even then, his habit for hoarding the loot that he gathered plagued him. Rather than spending, he was always perpetually impoverished, and while he ate, he didn't eat nearly as much as he should have. He was thin, often hungry, and yet he was generally in good spirits as long as he had his bag of loot to carry back to one of his many personal hideouts. At the age of 6 he (demon reckoning) he pilfered a lute that he began to teach himself to play on nights when he was alone (which was most of them). At the age of 8 (demon reckoning) he acquired a small taste for sake, and this became another habit he never quite kicked. He was alone, but he wasn't unhappy...or at least, he didn't think that he was unhappy. No one had ever taken enough notice of his actions to truly put him in danger, and so he thought that his life was fine as it was...until the day that he picked the wrong pocket at the Age of 10. ...It was a member of the Miyoshi, one of the leaders at the time, and this time his antics did not go unnoticed, nor unpunished. He was hunted by the Miyoshi, chased from one end of Shikoku to the other, and though he had learned some of his techniques by then it wasn't nearly enough. It was only at his wits' end, out of places to run and hide and within days, maybe less of being found by the Miyoshi that he met a kindly old demon that went by the title of 'Saint'. Taking pity on the boy, he invited him into an alliance that he promised would protect him. It was...strange, to rely on someone else. It felt wrong, but he had no other option. And so he accepted...and for the first time learned just how wonderful it could be to have friends to celebrate and drink and play music together with! The only price he had to pay was his mound of loot...which he painfully agreed to part ways with. Thus began his membership in the Iyokono Clan...

...Years passed thereafter, and under the tutelage of the Saint and the other members of the Clan, Ryu began to understand the true nature of his powers better than he ever could have on his own. He trained, and he grew stronger...until in his late adolescence he became one of the chief advisers and soldiers under the Saint for the sake of the Clan. He loved the clan, and he loved the times they had together, but he hated all the planning and thought that went into battle. He was the type who liked either to steal surreptitiously or fight head-on, and nowhere in between. And while the Saint was a quality leader, the Miyoshi were growing in strength...and the Iyokono were growing weaker in spite of their leadership. The spiritualism and the techniques which had guided them into peaceful harmony were losing their charm, and demons that doubted their leader began to break away and flee to the mainland...or even Kyushu and the Taihaku Alliance. Something needed to change, or else they were going to fall...and the whole of Shikoku would come under the control of the sly Miyoshi Clan. ...It is unknown if this was why Ryu made the surprising decision to invoke the Iyokono Clan's traditional right to challenge the leadership in combat, or if there was something else behind it. Everybody knew that of the entire clan, it was likely that the Saint was the one Ryu respected more than anyone. Nonetheless, with the dawn of the new century...the challenge was issued...and the growing influence of Ryugetsei allowed him the support of his clan even after he defeated the leader that everyone had loved and respected so much. ...Though it is possible some still resent him for his victory, the change in leadership reinvigorated the clan's morale, demonstrated a new strength at the top, and his entertaining ways made the clan that much more fun to be a part of...leading many who were in need of entertainment and/or protection to seek out his aid and the aid of the clan.

Though even now, with the clan on the verge of another rise in power or fall into decadence under his leadership, he still will not allow those who support him to speak ill of the fallen Saint. He refers to him respectfully to this day, and holds him in the highest regard...as a great leader, and the most difficult opponent that he has ever faced.

Demonic Abilities:
Unrelenting Force - This intense, non-elemental Dragon Breath shatters a chosen Resistance of an enemy for 5 turns, forcing them back to a distance and hitting for Heavy Damage. May or may not shout 'Fus Ro Dah!' when using this.
Dragonskin - By taking a deep breath and swallowing, Ryuga's body will become sturdier, an almost scaled-look to it that prevents instant-death, immensely increases defense, and restores broken resistances.
Alduin the World Eater - Ryugetsei Iyokono's ultimate attack; by releasing a shout of 'Odavhiing' into the sky he unites the powers of his breath in the clouds, forming a dark and stormy curtain overhead. Then, descending from the sky in-order are four dragons, Fire, Ice, Electricity, and Wind (Red, Blue, Gold, and Green) which unleash a hellish breath of each element (4 Hits Medium Damage, 1 Hit of each element) upon random enemies. Finally, a Black Dragon descends at the center with glowing red eyes...and from its mouth erupts a breath of Almighty power which inflicts Severe Damage to all foes. Personality: There is something almost feral about Takara; the way she carries herself is different than most other females, the way she walks, talks and acts speaks of her time in secluded in the mountains. She does not seem to be comfortable around too many people, nor does she like her personal space to be invaded; Takara however also has a soft spot that is seldom seen – it is more rumor that truth that she may treat a select few kindly and enjoys reading and hearing romance stories. She considers her war paint attractive and is protective of her mantle and the few bonds that she holds close.
Bio: Takara had been alone for a long as she could remember, her species did not live together and instead fought and killed each other for territory should they ever meet up (the only exception being once every 50 years when they would meet to breed). Seclusion never bothered the demon who was quite content roaming the mountain top that she had claimed as her own and killing those who dare to trespass on her land. Her strength was unrivaled on the mountain and many fell to it, her most prized kill being a tiger demon of pure white. The beast had put up a good fight and injured her gravely; the wounds took weeks to heal all the way but the fight had been worth it. To honor the beast that had hurt her so (or perhaps to dishonor it?) she skinned the beast and now wears its pelt as a mantle and a mark of her power.

As time went on Takara began to grow restless, endless boredom and an odd sort of sadness clouded the demon's mind as she spent day after day on her mountain. No beasts came her way, by now they knew of the danger that awaited them, and no humans came either as the legends of treasure at the mountain's mouth had long since faded from their memories... or so it seemed. With the change of seasons came a strange demon, unafraid to step foot on Takara's mountain in search of the “treasure” that the humans used to talk about. Ryugetsei was peculiar, but at last she saw an end to her boredom and engaged him in battle. There was no doubt that the residents below the mountain and through out the land could hear their clash; each blow traded more powerful than the last as Takara realized in desperation that this man was not one she could easily defeat. The battle ended in her defeat and exhausted, she looked up at her opponent from the ground only to explain that there was no treasure on her mountain, that there had never been a treasure. Lord Ryu's disappointment was clear that there was no gold, gems or weapons to carry home; however some good came of this when he offered her a place in his clan. The rather introverted mountain demon rose from her place on the ground, having found she had liked this battle and that she was tired of her perch above the world, agreed to join the Iyokono clan. The treasure at the mountain's mouth descended her throne then in hopes of a better, less mundane life with the Iyokono.

Personality: Ennea (as she prefers to be known, over her given name) is someone who actually fits into the mold of 'Demon' fairly well. Her primary personality is that of a cheerful, outgoing, rather playful girl, and the Iyokono clan in general is quite happy when she stays that way. It's her other personality that's the problem, because [Tyrant] Nero is one of the Clan's oldest, most dangerous members. She's kind of mellowed out in recent centuries, but every now and then people who bother the clan are reminded of why that Clan is in control, and exactly what it was she had to do with that... and in the meantime, she occasionally serves as an advisor to the head of the Clan, giving them advice if they need it on how to proceed.
Bio: Ennea has existed, in some form, since considerably back in Japan's history. It's fairly certain that she wasn't the first demon to show up in the land, but history is frustratingly vague, and it's known she appeared at least fairly early on, coming from somewhere else and quite cheerfully slaughtering whatever got in her way. This state of affairs persisted for some time, though the peak of the interesting points was probably when Ennea crushed the two demons that would eventually have their powers forged into her weapons. There were no truly serious threats left in the area by then, though, and she'd grown to enjoy Japan, so she settled down and, as demons are wont to do, just kind of faded away from the world for awhile... until, that is, the village where she'd been living was destroyed by a new battle raging across the land. This was something of a mistake on the part of those who opposed what would settle into becoming the Iyokono clan; as lesser demons are perfectly aware, pissing off a Tyrant is never a good idea. Even if it was a total accident. Ennea joined the battle on the side opposing those who had burned her village and contributed rather measureably to the Iyokono's ultimate success. It was about that time that one of the Iyokono's members gave her a name, referencing one of the Roman emperors, and from that point on the Tyrant demon became known as 'Nero'... though she still preferred her older name 'Ennea' be used by her friends. As the Iyokono largely settled down, she did as well. She was pretty quiet for a time, travelling through villages and living peacefully, but eventually she returned to the company of other demons and began to play, and make friends, and otherwise become known as she is today to much of the clan, one of its most cheerful, flirtatious, and sociable members. Incidentally, it was during this modern era that she had her weapons reforged, changing from swords to guns in order to keep up with the changing times. She seems happier this way.

Tyrant's Aura - A [Tyrant] is a member of one of the highest classes of demons, and a simple look is often enough to deeply rattle foes. Within Nero's presence, enemies have a 1-in-4 chance each post of being too intimidated to act. Fairly literally: this is the 'Intimidated' ailment. This aura can also be focused onto one target to guarantee their inability to act for a post (and will break through resistance to / nullification of ailments, though recovery is still possible), but at the cost of preventing Nero from doing anything else that turn. Like, say, attacking. Additionally, this aura can only be focused once every five posts. Nero's mellowed out too much to keep glaring at people for very long, so this isn't as strong as it once was. Nero can turn this power on or off at will.
Tyrant's Force - The power of a Tyrant is incredible... basically everything Nero does is more powerful than usual, and as a result every attack of hers does 50% more damage and has a 1-in-3 chance of being a critical hit.
Hyperborea Zero Drive - [Tyrant] Nero's ultimate attack, the one she doesn't really use very often. A power that simulates the heat death of the universe within a limited area, Hyperborea Zero Drive possesses power equivalent to a mind-charged blast of Severe Almighty damage to All Enemies. This spell has a five post cooldown; Nero's been out of practice for centuries, after all, and can't throw around power the way she used to.

Love Interest: A ninja's not suppose to be tied down.
Personality: Saitou's distrustful of Lords, loyalties, and men who talk too much about honor. Saitou does believe in repaying obligations however, primarily to the female population, and so he always does his best to repay a debt. Saitou has a short temper for irresponsible people, and villains however, and is more a 'chivalrous thief' than anything else. Naturally, this puts him at odds with Ryuga...a lot.
Bio: Saizou was a ninja from the legendary Iga village, which gave rise to himself, as well as the "Demon Wind" Kotaro Fuuma. Unlike the Koga ninjas, their rivals, the Iga were masters of more specialized arts and were less well rounded in stealth, meaning that their skills were much harder to market for mere subterfuge; instead, he was raised with assassination as his main skill set, which made working relatively difficult (though the Sengoku Era was always ready to provide opportunities). Originally working for Ieyasu Tokugawa, the young daimyo (and then rival to Hideyoshi, but servant of Nobunaga) sent Saizou to eliminate his rival, only to be caught and brought before Hideyoshi to face execution. A ninja who was much more apt to wing things, Saizou had recognized signs of forced entry during his own entrance, and warned Hideyoshi that there was another assassin, offering to catch him in return for his life. Saizou caught the assassin, and then was offered one chance to become Hideyoshi's ninja or face the chopping block. Considering Saizou felt that there was no real obligation in ties by money, he quickly found himself in the service of the new rising power in Japan, and spent many years underneath him. When the great monkey died, Saitou's distaste for loyalty had already grown as he was worked to the bone in order to keep his head, and the man he'd served had been questionable enough that Saitou no longer trusted the 'great lord's of his day. Finally, Saitou set out on an adventure of his own, only to stumble into the massacring of a priesthood just north of Kai, leading him to save the only remaining priestess and bring her to the local lord, Yukimura Sanada. To his dismay though, the local Koga ninja Sasuke Sarutobi claimed that since he'd been the one to bring her there, he had an obligation to help her. And so, that guilty little voice in the back of his head prodded the ninja into becoming one of Sanada's Ten Braves, and the legendary rival of Sasuke Sarutobi.

Eventually Saizou found himself and the priestess um, attracted to one another, and apparently a priestess falling in love and abandoning her covenant with the Gods was frowned upon in the divine. The ninja, already infamous as one of the four most renown blades in the dark along with his fellow Iga Fuuma, and their respective Koga rivals Sasuke Sarutobi and Hattori Hanzo, was thus cursed to bear the karma of his life and under the Gods' ire turned into a Demon, no longer aging while the woman who had convinced him to love her was not so 'blessed'. Although the curse didn't make itself apparent at first, as the years passed by they began to realize what was wrong, and at her urging Saizou moved the two out of Yukimura's service at the battle for Osaka, feigning death to excuse himself before he was discovered. To say that he felt heartbroken as the years continued to ebb onwards would have been an understatement, and eventually he cursed the Gods who had cursed him when everyone he knew or loved passed on. The death of Yukimura had marked the last time Saizou would trust another to be his leader, and the death of the priestess made him throw away any ties through either work or honor. Instead, he spent the next few hundred years as a vagabond, working only as he found clients for himself, and practicing with his new Demon Strength, although he no longer felt the urge to use his talents like he once had when Sasuke Sarutobi had been his rival. Instead, he slowly felt his past slipping away, his love and his hatred forgotten, everything that had made him who he was except for his talents gone...and so he felt like he was growing up again, but he didn't feel nearly as happy as he had before.

The way Saizou and Ryuga met was actually one that was totally expected; Saizou had heard of a great treasure horde, and Ryuga was a dirty piratey dragon bro. In the end, Saizou snuck into the den of the Dragon of Iyokono, but was caught in the midst of the theft by the student of the Saint and resulted in a battle between the two. Although Saizou was fast by nature, Ryuga was a formidable foe to the very nature of a ninja; and even the fact that Saizou's specialty was strength hardly seemed to factor in, though if he had been just a bit weaker but faster he might have ended up as fodder beneath the dragon's feet. Instead their match ended in a draw when Saizou unleashed his fiercest attack, totaling a side of the cave...and burying a good portion of the treasure. As one would expect, the instincts of the Dragon kicked in, and Ryuga was quickly consumed with the need to unbury his treasure to make sure it wasn't harmed; Saizou, meanwhile, had learned better than to try and *#$% with a dragon in it's own home. Eventually after they had dug the treasure free, Ryuga demanded compensation, and Saizou out of obligation (and the promise of money, which he believed he'd get seeing the vast horde) joined the Iyokono. He has always regretted it.

Marashi Ten - Calling upon a dark star god, Saizou lines his blade with runes and then jumps and does a front flip, bringing his blade down like a hammer. Does Dark Break (Non-instant death), and deals Severe Phys and Darkness.
Tendagaeshi - Saizou casts out a taunt, and then prepares himself for a strike. If the enemy attacks him on the next turn, Saizou reflects the attack for double a normal reflected attack's damage.
Shunkou - Holds his blade over his head, focusing his demonic power. On the next turn, it doubles Saizou's attack (Phys and Magic), and maxes his accuracy. Disappears after that turn.

Personality: Even before his rebirth stein was a mad man, always reveling in the joy from performing his 'experiments', an endless supply of subjects being the main perk of his former job, it actually seemed as if that was his only way to be happy... well that and torturing his student, Senji Kiyomasa. However, since his rebirth Stein has found new pleasures it's almost like dieing has given him a new outlook on life, though what that outlook is and how he will act now is a mystery to all but himself.
Bio: Before his self inflicted death, stein was the Kiyomasa clans best hitman. He worked directly under the Kiyomasa clan head, and was often called the leaders own personal grim reaper (a title gained both from his job, and his weapon). Despite not being a true member of the Kiyomasa clan himself, he was among the highest ranked of their officers and was the most feared. It was at the height of his life amongst the spiders that he took Senji to be his apprentice, torturing and teaching the young Kiyomasa assassin. It was during his training that Stein debated whether or not his current test subjects were truly sufficient for his great experiments... and then he promptly experimented on his self. Suffice it to say, he promtply died after removing his heart and examining it for a moment.
