MANOKA : INFORMATION
History
Manoka is technically located among the southern archipelagos North Easy of Malaysia, which is directly below China. The Islands of course, do remain an independent nation, completely irrelevant to Malaysia or it’s activities, despite their relatively close location geographically. Manoka is a primarily English speaking Nation, which is odd given it’s proximity to Asia and the Philippines, where the primary language is ordinarily Mandarin or Spanish. This is of course, due to the fact that Manoka remained a colony of Britain up until 1896, when it was released back into the hands of the Manokan residents. Given the fact that before this release it was a small, loosely inhabited unproductive area, the British gave up the land without a fight. In the years following however, the Island of Manoka transformed into a series of islands, until it finally dominated the Archipelagoes North of Malaysia, previously known as the Philippines, and became the military and economical prowess that it is today.
Manoka is actually the primary Island of the Manokan area, despite the short name “Manoka” being used to describe all of the Islands under it’s jurisdiction, this being the United Nations of Manoka. The entire Island Chain is roughly 115,831 sq mi, with a total of 238 islands. Despite this, the Primary Island of Manoka comprises roughly 1/3 of the entire Nations size, being 38,335 square miles in surface area. The second largest island, Luzon, is roughly 1/5 of the entire nations size, being 23,166 square miles in surface area. The rest of the Islands each contain various amounts of size, each not highly documented for the very reason that they change in size quite often. The Primary Languages are- English (82.6%), Filipino (13.2%), Mandarin (3.6%) and other (0.6%).
The area is a heavy military dominated society, having an extremely war filled past. The Government of the area can somewhat be described as more like a corporation, the area also technically being recognized as a business, rather than just a Nation. In truth, the Entire area of Manoka was bought out by groups of private investors and now remains as a large paramilitary group. The Nation of Manoka is basically a large business that has expanded as such to where now it is a Nation and considered as such, much more so than Communism. Still, the over-all government system is that of a Capitalist society, being Republican-democratic.
Economy
The economy of the Island is a very important and integral part of their Island. As a matter of fact, the Island was originally a corporation headquarters, until the entire island turned into a Nation after a long, and prolonged debate. Now, the Islands serve as a powerful military and economic center, rapidly becoming a world power. Technically still remaining as a mercenary group, it does not need to follow the Geneva Convention, although ordinarily it does. The primary sources of income are Manoka Water, Impact gel, weapons manufacturing, agricultural products, and Purefoods. The weapons manufacturing department produces several imitation weapons without the need for a patent, and has several of it’s own weapons that it employs with it’s own ammo manufacturing station. Because each of the fact that each small weapon part differs ever so slightly from the original product, mass production of similarly styled materials can be created. As for Manoka water, a system that filters the naturally mineral enriched water of a Manoka is in place to collect roughly 1/10 of the natural and bottle it, so that it may be used for people in other places to consume. Oddly enough, despite it’s location, it meets FDA requirements. As for impact gel, impact gel is a corn starch based solid that is bound with a binder to allow the materials to create the same Newtonian fluid reaction to a denser, solid material. As far as agricultural products are concerned, generally any kind of crop can be grown within the soil, and this dependent entirely upon how many nitrates are present in the soil during a given time period- meaning that the Nation is not dependent on a single food source or crop.
