[Mini-event] Valentine's Vandalism!

"C'MON, FAIRY-BOY! Live up to your ancestry!"

It's the season of lurve (in the real world, anyway) and everything's gone twitterpated! A mysterious, dark figure wearing a skirt has been sighted flitting around the Order's grounds - chaos following in its wake! What is this strange phenomena affecting our regulars? Could it be - LOVE??!

Here's how it's going to work!

Find another rp character to pair off with! Choose the weirdest, most unlikely match for your character - or perhaps your secret love? Ohoho.

Make a thread in the rp forum devoted to their Valentine's scenario! Make sure to tag the title with [VV] so it's easily noticeable!

Roleplay for at least five posts each.

You can also bring in a third person, who must make at least three posts.

Notify me when the scenario is completed and your roleplay will be judged against everyone else's, based on how funny, endearing or just plain improbable it is! Depending on the response to this there may even be different categories, and therefore multiple winners!

Oh, and you can take part in as many or as few as you want! ^^ Everything is down to you people~

NONE of this is canon! You can go ahead and be as random as you want!

Show your creativity! There are no limits!

Oh, keep it non-sexual, though!

And please note that my mod characters are all OFF-LIMITS! So that means you can't pair with Cressa, Jessie or Lorika. Why? Because I just have too much on my plate, and I wouldnt want to enter myself for the competition anyway. ;3; Sowwy!

And when it's all done, you may be the lucky winner of a FANTABULOUS UNDISCLOSED GRAND PRIZE! Yaaaay incentive!

Meta: Oh my love, thank you so much for saying so! I tried so especially hard for you, what with the love that's suddenly blossomed in my heart in the wake of that strange prancing fairy-creature I saw hiding in a bush out of the corner of my eye!

Lorika: KISS ME

Meta: I AM TOO HAPPY TO OBLIGE

*they lean in*

Storm: *bursts through the wall* NOT SO FAST!

Meta: Gasp, my spurned lover!

Storm: You don't need her, Metanere! IT'S ME YOU LOVE!

Meta: Oh, bog off! I love Lorika!

Storm: *gets down on his knees* Please, my beautiful feline! Your delicate ears, they haunt me in my dreams! Here, I brought you a catnip bouquet!

Meta: OMGGG *claws it to pieces* @@@w@@@

Lorika: Um...

*Cupid!Jay-jay, lurking behind a conveniently placed potted fern, takes aim and shoots her square in the small of the back*

Lorika: OW! ... *she stands up abruptly* STORM!

Anyway guys, this one's the motherload from a reward standpoint. It's also, however, going to be way more time consuming than any of the others.

If you don't know anything about sonnets, you can read about the basic structures here. However, if you don't know much about them I'd say that this contest isn't for you...!

Here's an example of a sonnet from the genius that is Christina Rossetti:

Yeah, this one is definitely the most challenging of the lot. Sonnets are srs business, people. While the topic I want you to write about may not be very serious, fitting in with our theme of GENERALLY HAMMING AND CAMPING THINGS UP WOOHOO, poetry is a passion of mine (English lit degree student here!) and I'll be judging it as such.

When I'm judging, I'll not only be looking at how well your poem meets the theme (and note that it doesn't have to be TOO over the top - anything sweetly sentimental fits the bill), but the structure, imagery, sense of flow and clarity... basically all the things you look for when critiquing.

In fact, I will go ahead and write every entry a full critique. If you don't want this to be posted publicly in the discussion forum, please state you'd prefer a private PM at the end of your entry form!

This skill can also be used Actively to conjure a sickening display of affection that makes everyone around them feel, frankly, quite ill.

When Mettanere remembers just how much her damn "protege" keeps on screwing up, she descends into a rage akin to a combination of Rage and Berserk - for a single turn, Meta's attack will automatically succeed and all attackers face a -2 penalty.

This attack can also be used Passively, in which case all attacks specifically against the NPC Oswald gain a +6 roll bonus. Poor, poor Oz...
