From the ocean, there's sand as far as the eye can see. Toward's the core, it's a machinist paradise. Thanks to the portal that exists on this island, huge amounts of technological junk get dumped onto this island from god knows where. Several pieces of machinery can be found here but no one's quite sure why perfectly good equipment gets dumped here. It's usually only slightly used.
