Inoki's eyes shut just as the sunlight came tumbling down into them. Instead of spazzing out about it, he just smiled, simply smiled. It had been a while. For anything really. Inoki had been spending the last couple of years alone, out on this huge river, minding his own business, not having a single care in the world...
A small part in the back of his head knew he should care. He had a family somewhere out there. Somewhere. He wasn't relatively sure where anymore. He had been floating down the water for as long as he could remember that his mother, father and sister were the last lions on his mind. Well, that wasn't true. They were just about the only lions ever on his mind unless he spotted someone in the far distance, but he never stopped to talk to them. Should he? Was there something wrong with being alone? Inoki wasn't sure anymore. He did get lonely from time to time, he did miss his family occasionally, but was that his fault? Whatever the answer, for right now Inoki just wanted to enjoy the cool liquid as it drifted along with him in a slight rhythm.

Never could she ask for anything more: a sunbathed slab of rock to call her own all the while lounging beside the rampant falls of a neighboring river. Though it was high noon, the lull of sleep prickled at her eyelids, causing them to flutter rather hastily ajar whenever she began to slip into unconsciousness. Why fight such life's one natural escape from the jarring noise and rather oblique reality that had settled upon the horizon: a massive, wiry blanket made of the most coarse and rather itchy material that one could find in some neglected heep.
With that sort of argument... who was she to argue. A single yawn drew free from her ebony maw as each of her limbs sprawled out in unison: one last stretch before settling for her afternoon nap.
Atleast... that had been the plan until a lone salmon leapt up from those crystalline waves. Flailing about, it propelled a generous helping of water right atop Jissele's exposed belly, rousing her to a start.

He was enjoying himself. Was. That was the problem with the current, you could never be sure where it would take you. All you knew was that the next place you would go would be somewhere completely new.... or would it? Inoki was awoke by a sudden thump to his head. Growling, he lifted his skull to rub the back of it, realizing that somehow he had landed ashore. Certainly odd, if he thought about it, he hadn't landed ashore in weeks of traveling along this river... and now sudden here he was with a good bump on his head to prove it.
Frowning, Inoki supposed it was time to get out of the water and let himself warm up. Maybe he'd find some red meat on the way. He did miss the taste of antelope. One of the few things he had missed while being waterborn. Following the river, Inoki paused when he saw a figure on top of a bathing rock. He frowned, his head tilting to one side. Should he say anything? Maybe not. The figure looked to be resting peacefully, but... Inoki mused when he saw a salmon leap from the water and awaken the... lioness?? It was a girl?! His eyes widened and he tried to take a step back, hoping to disappear before he was seen.
