Dear LiveJournal-Wanna-Be,
It's almst Halloween... The kids are all dressing up. Tomorrow, I'm taking Kian out to look for a costume (nevermind that he HATES me) and a lot of the kids already have theirs picked out.
Yashi, we've decided, is going as a Biker guy. Iamel is going as... sigh. A Dragon Ball Z character. Akilah wants to go as a guitar, I'm dressing Katura up as a mouse.
Lahela... I'm not sure what I'm going to be doing with Lahela. I'm thinking maybe a peacock. She'd like that, I think. COlors and fluffed up ness.
Ah well, journal.
I'm off.

"One more time, baby girl.." Patrick made soft little chittering noises towards Lahela, where the Bird-girl was sitting before him. Her claw-like hands clicked on the ground, tail feathers fluffing up even more so.
She was TRYING to talk. Really, she was. It was just so hard! To speak, with her mouth the way it was, was just difficult for the bird. Her mouth clacked a few times, tongue making a faint waggle before she spoke. Or tried. "Daada says that meat is ..."
"Bad." Patrick supplied, voice amused. The little bird nodded a bit, wriggling.
"Buh-ah-ad." She drawled out slowly, her head giving a nod.
"Good girl." Her dark hand moves to pet at the little girls head, s critching gently with a grin. "Now go get yourself some fruit from Iamel, ok? Daddy has to write."
The bird girl nodded, pushing herself up higher with a squak and she toddled off towards the kitchen. She was getting big. Patrick just pushed himself up as well, but he moved over to his laptop. It was flipped on and he moved to his journal area.

Entry 003,
The child and surrounding family (scientest included) have moved. Several other Subjects have been relocated with and some family social ties have been severed by The child has seemed rather ineffective.
She's grown even taller and she is thin. Tests have been made and her metabolism, as a bird, is off the charts. Frutis are still her favorite and Scientest has been, admittedly, been teaching her phrases such as 'meat is bad' and 'power to the people' but as a avian, such phrases are useful.
With a holiday coming up, it will have been a year since the Subject has been with the scientest. A one-year report will be due, as requested, along with all the personal logs kept.
