Imbrium loped alongside of the river bank. Her hooves making a soft sucking noise as the mud tried to pull her hooves in. The black mare had been traveling for days now, though she couldn't quite remember just how many suns it had been since she had spoken with that stallion. She knew that the two of them hadn't actually had anything going for long, but the feeling was there, and she knew that he had felt it too. Unfortunately she wasn't good enough for his herd.

'NO,' She told herself. 'He was just doing his job, he couldn't look week in front of his herd.' Who was she kidding? If he had really felt anything for her he would have broken his rule, or at least asked her to stay longer. He didn't even ask if he could see her again. Imbri almost started to cry again but held back. No stallion was worth crying over. Especially one who had obviously cared so little about her. Maybe she was too normal for him? No, her eyes glowed. That had to be abnormal enough, even her own mother had abandoned her because of that.

The black mare slowly came to a stop and made her way to the water's edge. It would do her some good to take a break and relax for a little. She could sort her problems out later, maybe even make her way back to Thanos and see if they could pick up where they left off. It wasn't the end of the world and she needed to stop acting as if it was.

Lorcan moved along, heavy hooves thudding against the ground. However a sleek black shape caught his eye and he stopped to see what, or who, it could be. He got the distinct memory of Regret, the thin mare he had met before. He wasn't to interested in going over and dealing with another depressed, hopeless mare. However as he watched the form slow and stop he mentally kicked himself. They were stopped now, and not to far off. Walking off would not only go against much of what he was taught, but also could prove to be a problem. For all he knew this was just a lost horse. Or perhaps they were stretching their legs...

He shook his head and watched them a moment longer before the large stallion snorted and shook his head, heading towards them. His hooves clopped on the ground, wide and heavy enough to give him no trouble as he passed muddy spots. Tough he would have to take a dip to clean them off. What a silly thing to be thinking about. He shook his head and moved closer, slowing as he neared. Hopefully this one would hear a bit better then that stallion the terrified. Ah, Szad. For a moment he wondered how the other draft was doing. Well, he hoped.

Finally he stopped, shaking out his coat a bit. "Hello there!" He called to the other, a mare he could tell now. With some strange thing in her tail... odd. Then again who was he to judge what someone carried. Perhaps it was food, or a sentimental item. Didn't really matter.

Imbrium just about died of fright as the unknown stallion called out to her. Quickly she regained her composure and began to walk towards the stallion. As Imbri moved towards the stallion she studied him a bit. He seemed friendly enough, although he wasn't anyone that she had met before. She doubted that he would harm her, though she was pretty confident she could put up a good fight or at least outrun him if he tried anything.

"Hi." She called back. "Sorry, you err, kind of spooked me there a little. I hadn't realized that anyone else was around here." The black mare stopped just a few feet away from the chestnut. Where had he come from? She supposed she must have just been entirely too distracted and overlooked him. Well, he was here now and she might as well and try to be friendly. Maybe he could take her mind off of Thanos for a little while.

"I'm Imbrium." She introduced herself. "Though you can call me Imbri for short. What's your name?" She tried to sound happy and rather cheerful, though she was pretty sure she wasn't doing a very good job at it.

Nice job Lorcan! Well least she was farther away, and not as large, as Szad so she didn't almost attack him. And she didn't seem overly upset at being started. Which would have made him feel worse. She moved closer and he gave a big shrug of his shoulders. "Sorry about that. I wasn't trying to startle you. Usually these things make for sneaking up on someone vary hard." He indicated his hooves. "Yet It seems I'm becoming vary good at it." He had to laugh a bit. Heavy hooves that thudded something awful, and he'd snuck up one two horses already.

Imbrium. She had a pretty name. Though her color left something to be desired. He couldn't help making such a judgment. She was just black... sure it was better then grey, but still. However... he caught her eyes. They were vary diffrent... startling so. He didn't stare though, he'd been raised better then that. Oops, pay attention. Imbri? Why shorten her name? Oh well, she asked and it would be bad manners to call her somthing else.

"Its nice to meet you Imbri. I'm Lorcan. Sorry for the random stopping but I spotted you running and since I was near, thought I might see if you need assistance. I'm no expert but I'm sure I can help somehow." He nodded.

Imbri smiled sweetly at the stallion. Well at least he hadn't actually meant to frighten her, it would have been quite upsetting if he had frightened her on purpose. "I've just been in my own little world lately. I haven't really been around others much either. I'm a bit of a loner so I apologize if I seem a little off or anything." Damnit what was she doing? Why was it that whenever she ran into someone she had to ruin it by opening her mouth? Quickly she moved on and answered his question.

"Oh that?" She asked, a little embarrassed that he had seen her running. "I was just, well I uh.. I don't really think there's anything I need help with." Hmmph, she seemed to be having issues talking today. "You see, I met this stallion days ago. Honestly I can't even remember how many days, it might even be a couple months by now." Had it really been that long? Judging by the change in seasons she was guessing that it had. "Anyway, he was the most peculiar stallion I've ever seen. Pieces of his flesh were torn away, his face was half bone. At first I thought he'd been mauled by a bear or something and tried to help him, but he said he was fine. That he even came out of Hell!" Oh man, now he was going to think she was crazy. She trailed off for a bit lost in thought.

"Oh don't worry, I've been alone for a good while now, ever since I took a run and left my old herd behind. Its a new experience but being alone allows you to run into many others and is cause for some interesting meetings." The stallion nodded. He'd met some interesting characters already. And learned some interesting things. He gave charming smile, though he only meant it to solidify his statement that he hadn't meant to frighten her.

Then she spoke again and Lorcan blinked... multiple times. He glanced over the mare again, more then a little confused at her words. Was this what she meant by a little off? Over all they just sounded ridiculous and crazy. And she had been running for no real reason... Well even he did that though, so he couldn't pin that on her. He shook his head a little. How to respond... Well how did one respond when they were faced with another who said they had met a stallion from Hell? "That's... Interesting." He paused. "And...why was this Hell Stallion walking about well...not in Hell anymore?" He questioned.

Imbri's heart sank a little as she listened to Lorcan talk. He didn't really believe her did he? Well, she already sounded crazy and at least he was humoring her so she might as well continue on. "Well, I don't really understand it myself but from what he told me he gathered his herd up and on some night when the barrier between Hell and our world was weak they managed to push through it." The black mare did suppose that it all sounded quite preposterous, but after actually having seen that stallion there wasn't any point in not believing him. No normal horse could have survived with wounds like those.

The black mare debated on telling him the rest. About how crazy she really was. After telling him as much as she already had, she figured it wasn't really going to be any worse to continue. "That's not really the worst part." She started again. "While I was talking to him I had this strange feeling. Like I never wanted to leave his side. Which is odd, I've never really felt that with anyone else before. I thought he felt it too for a while. But now I'm not so sure. I know he wasn't the prettiest sight to most but he just seemed to understand me. To understand my glowing eyes and how alone in this world I am. Besides, I could have gotten past his looks. Really, other then the wounds he was quite handsome." Imbrium stopped herself there. Now she really was making a fool out of herself, rambling on like that.

The mare sighed a little. "I'm sorry." She apologized. "I don't really know why I'm so worked up over this. Not to mention I'm sure you think I'm crazy now." She waited patiently for him to take in all that she had said.

Lorcan listened, politely nodding as she spoke. He was raised with manners, and by gosh just cause this mare was starting to sound like a crazy old fool did not mean he would ignore her. At least she wasn't a raving lunatic. Well, least he didn't think so. "I see." He said, nodding. "Yeah that sounds interesting. I mean I guess Hell wouldn't be a place one would want to stay and breaking out would be a good plan." He nodded. Sure he wouldn't want to stand around in Hell, so at least it made sense... Perhaps she wasn't cra-

He blinked at her second point. The worst part? Ok...perhaps she was completely off her rocker. "Ah...I see... I mean that's nice." He nodded. "Its a good feeling to want to be around someone, with someone. So that's good. I mean...and you must be a vary kind heart to see past something like wounds and him being from Hell. Not many mares would be so nice as you to give someone like that a chance." He nodded. "So yeah, really nice. Better to be with soemone you really connect with then just for how they look, right?" As he spoke it was easier for him to loosen up and not think about the mare as potentionally being a few apples short of a tree. She seemed truthful and perhaps she was just mistaken, or had been tricked? But he didn't think he should bring up either option to her, least she really be nuts and freak out at him.

"Crazy? Of course not, that'd be rude. Its always good to give a new friend the benefit of the doubt." He smiled in a charming sort of way.
