From personal experience, the only way to hit the outer platform is to purposely hit the edge of it with the bombs. The Lich King isn't even tanked remotely close to the edge and the large adds are tanked away from the Lich King to prevent the disease from hitting melee classes. You'd have to go to the edge on purpose to drop bombs on it.

i think blizzard was way to harsh on the raid.

i mean, yea it sucks they found a glitch to beat LK, but to strip gear and achievments, and then ban for 72 hours. Just shows how you can abuse power when you have it.

It's not abusing power. Each one of us that plays signs Blizz's agreement. Besides that, Ensidia's done this stuff before and just gotten a slap on the wrist every time.

I don't think people realize how big WoW is in relation to code, and when you apply 'patches' it's adding even more code to this monster of a program. It's virtually impossible to find all bugs. The machine- or manpower required would take years to find all bugs. Does anyone remember the issue with the disgusting oozeling and C'thun? Could anyone at blizz have reasonably predicted that? If there was a bug that caused you to gain GM powers if you jumped off Dalaran, yelled 'PANTS' and drank a Potion of Speed, would you blame Blizzard if someone discovered this bug and abused it?

As mentioned, you don't tank the Lich King on the edge when he's in his Defile/Val'kyr phase. Ever. And do you really believe that a top guild really didn't record a "world first" Lich King kill? Be serious rolleyes

No, I'd expect it's because it displays them dropping the saronite bombs in a way that would NOT be used in a rogue's rotation... i.e., on platforms rather than the Lich King.

Blizzard makes numerous mistakes. Most of them are not in our favor. We often deal with extreme lag, DC issues, login issues, bosses switching to hardmode when engaged, etc. as a direct result of Blizzard screw ups.

But whenever they do make a mistake that ends up being in a player's favor, Blizzard bans the player. I don't think that's fair.

I could understand if Blizzard wanted to take back the title, achievement, and loot. But it probably should have been done with an apology. "So sorry, we're taking back this stuff because the fight was bugged..." type of thing. But to ban players for a Blizzard error seems totally unfair and uncalled for after all the money players pay and all the negative screw ups that we endure.
